love kilgharrah hate, sorry not sorry. i despise that overgrown lizard.
i don't understand when people praise him or think merlin should have just listened to him because he cared when he clearly couldn't give a damn about merlin, arthur or any of their destinies. it was literally there in the show!
giving merlin information in riddles or half information was obviously not helpful, especially when people's lives were at stake. and i don't understand when people say he cared about camelot/arthur when as soon as he was freed he tried to kill arthur and destroy camelot.
he obviously had a very good reason for doing so i mean he was the last of his kind, uther had not only killed all the dragons but had him imprisoned for more than two decades but eventhough he knew arthur's destiny and how magic was destined to thrive under his rule he couldn't give a fuck (again, lowkey valid of him, just don't understand when people claim otherwise).
he also just used merlin and didn't give a fuck about him too. he obviously wanted to be free and saw merlin as a way out which worked, but people reference kilgharrah helping merlin after he was freed but forget merlin was a dragonlord then and kilgharrah had no choice but to obey him.
i can't remember their parting in detail, but im sure when they fought kilgharrah was just like don't call me again i couldn't give less of a fuck !!
and like yeah he obviously wasn't obliged to help merlin (whilst imprisoned) but any info he gave was either in riddles or was not full information 💀
anyway idk what im saying at this point just that i don't understand people who think merlin should have been devoted or worshipping kilgharrah
