Concerning this

So Starbreeze/Overkill just announced a “Wind of Change”

Basically they want to continue the development of Payday 2. New free and paid updates, making the current Ultimate Edition a Legacy edition aswell as making all the DLC separately purchasable again.

Considering their current status, I can see why they make this move. They need money to stay afloat and Payday is their Cash Cow. Problem is that it has been a full year since the development of Payday 2 ended. Most people have sprung to other games, inlcuding me (some people know how religiously I used to play this game.) This decision seems very rushed and short sighted. They have announced that they wanted to make a Payday 3 but when they now focus on Payday 2 again then their development on a new game is completely gonna halt or we get a fiasco like The Walking Dead again.

I kinda wish the game stays where it is now. We got a nice ending with heavy emotions attached to it. Trying to continue the story from here is like trying to save Bain from the virus he was infected with. Instead of trying to find a cure for their current game they should try to make a new installment altogether.
