“The Gang Learns how to Love.”
Gamora hasn’t said a word to him in over an hour, was she upset that he had decided to pick up the unconscious android from beneath the rubble? She was nice enough to allow him join the team, but had intended on leaving him behind after registration at the center of the city. Canti had taken it upon himself to carry Atom’s unresponsive body around with them on what Gamora had began to refer to as a “Mission”. To Canti, it seemed more as if it was a errand rather than a mission even if there was a chance to get seriously hurt. That alone was reason enough for him to not leave behind his new comatose companion, who knows what would have happened to him if he was left alone.
So far the entire experience was very business orientated. They had all been following the locations marked on a map Canti had displayed on his screen. Despite the mundanity of the task, Canti was still on full alert. The rubble and waste of most of the city could easily hide any kind of threat waiting for them after the beacons are all placed. Canti’s arms full with carrying Atom on his back, there was no way to get Gamora’s attention though his usual means. She was ahead of him and had no intention of stopping.
I-it wasn’t English, in fact it was hardly a language. The sound of scrapping metal, otherworldly clicks, and the sound of static all escaped Canti’s grille as he called out to Gamora. He was starting to feel a little nervous.
