Early MSR. They're on a coach coming back from somewhere and it's late. Scully is asleep but she looks really uncomfortable so mulder pulls her against his chest (she snuggles into his chest ect) then he wakes her up when they need to get off and it's all awkward.

Wheels On the Bus
The bus rumbles along, shaking and bouncing in the way big coaches do. It was dark out, the neon blue digital clock telling him it was almost 1 AM. The highway was bare, inside the bus quiet, the passengers asleep. All except one.
Mulder was drowsy, tired from the travelling but he could not fall asleep. His legs too cramped in the too small space, unable to position his head comfortably as was always the way using transport.
Scully always sleeps, however; cars, planes, buses, it doesn’t matter which. He was envious of her ability to sleep anywhere, to be small enough to curl up and fall asleep in seconds.
Tonight, however, she doesn’t look comfortable. Asleep she might be, her body exhausted, but the position she had found herself in wouldn’t be one her body will thank her for when it wakes up; legs twisted, foot askew on the seat, her head rests on her fist whose elbow rests on the ledge but with the jerkiness of the bus her arms keeps slipping off.
Mulder is well aware of travel fatigue, of wanting to sleep but not being able to. He would hate it for Scully to wake up from her slumber not feeling well-rested.
He reaches over to her, gently wraps his arms around her, cradles her head in his palm as he guides her towards him. Scully resists, makes a noise of protest as her body is moved.
“Shh,” he coos. “I’m making you more comfortable.”
He rests her head against his chest, reaches over to adjust her legs, to lay her feet against the wall. Scully makes a sigh of content. She crunches up her nose, licks her lips, and adjusts herself into a more comfortable position against his chest.
Mulder smiles at the sight. It’s not the first time he’s been used as a pillow by Scully but it’s definitely a rare occasion. His arms wrap around her, securing her in place against the bumpy ride as she slips off into dreamland. Mulder’s eyes drift to the window, warmth spreading through him at the image of her asleep on him.
It’s 05:11 when they reach their destination. The sun has risen above the clouds and the travellers rise, drowsy and stiff from a night of travel. Scully still sleeps soundly against him, unburdened by the uncomfortable way in which everyone else slept.
Mulder pokes her cheek, gives her a gentle shake and she awakens with everyone else, slightly groggy but looking to have had a better sleep than most.
“Morning, sunshine,” Mulder greets, beaming down at her much like the sun itself.
Scully smiles sleepily at him, straightening out her limbs. A frown passes between her eyebrows when she realises the position in which she had awakened and the sight of drools of his shirt.
“Sorry,” she mumbles, redness blooming on her cheeks as her eyes remain downcast.
Mulder shakes his head, still smiling. “No, don’t worry,” he reassures. “I moved you against me last night. You looked uncomfortable.”
Scully mutters a thanks and sets to undoing her seat belt. The passengers brush past them, headed off the bus, Scully nods in their direction.
“We should get off,” she says, professionalism lacing her voice.
“Yeah,” says Mulder, enthusiasm gone from his voice. He sighs as he unclips his own belt. Sleeping against him in the solitary of their car was one thing, sleeping against him on a busy bus was another.
“You slept well though, right?” he asks as they climb off the bus.
She tries to hide it but Mulder catches the smile as she turns away.
“I did,” she says. “Thank you for that. Really.”
Mulder nods, it was the best he was going to get.
