Yukiru is not really to my taste, because I have difficulty seeing them in that kind of relationship, though I do concede it can be done. The problem is that there is a power imbalance to their relationship, be it prince and commoner, or parent and child. I get the appeal, particularly based on the characterization at the beginning of the series--basically, pre-volume 6. That being said, I’ve actually done some work on a story that involved a Yuki and Tohru pairing, though it was very much an AU. I’ll grade it a C.

Scenario: Tohru couldn’t decide what was most beautiful about him--his face? No. His hair? What was most beautiful about him was his kindness, expressed in a look of pure love. He was surprised when she reached up--but he needn’t have feared. She was not going to hug him. Rather, she gave him the tiniest of kisses. She blushed at her boldness, but did not regret it. ‘My first kiss!’ she thought. ‘I’ll bet I’m the only girl in first grade who’s kissed a boy!’
