A closer look at our 2016 Chipboard series. This series of 30 unique mixed media pieces were built from a combination of screen printing and collage. Overprinting and layering of materials made this a very laborious, but rewarding project.

Screenprinting is hurting my brain - as an artist that mainly uses intaglio, and not much colour, i am having to make some big adjustments in my thinking during this WIP.

Colour, but not just colour the translucency but the order is going to need big consideration. Time to get the paint out and work on some colour palettes !

Printing on top of a printed surface was interesting and introduced and combined bold graphics with a more delicate over print. However i would like to explore the print without these to try and gain some clarity - visually and in the mind.

As the project develops i am becoming more interested in how to introduce the 'transformation' aspect on the death tarot card and see this progressing through the transformation of the printed image and a physical transformation of prints themselves.
