No Plumbob For Humans and Occults (Override Mod) Club Members Update
🚨June 10th: This version removes the club members plumbobs as well as the hexagon club indicators above other sims' heads.
A lot of players who take screenshots and do storytelling prefer no Plumbob's above their active Sim's heads (much like Milkemie who's posts inspired this mod in the first place) and @mintvalentine, the original creator of the Missing Plumbob mod, has unfortunately not been active for nearly a year and there have been no updates or occult additions. Credit and inspiration absolutely goes to mintvalentine, without their mod I wouldn't have attempted to figure this out!
Without further ado, I introduce to you the No Plumbob Mod for Human AND Occult Sims!
This mod removes the Plumbob above your active Sim, but thought and speech bubbles still remain. Yes, the headlineeffects off cheat does also remove the Plumbob but it removes any and all headlines such as the thought, speech and dream bubbles.
This mod removes the Plumbob for the following as *Active Sims:
Human Sims
Werewolves
Vampires
Witches/Wizards
Mermaids (Compatible with the Expanded Mermaids Mod by SpinningPlumbobs!)
Fairies
Aliens
Servos
This mod also removes the Plumbobs of club leaders, as well as the club indicators (the little hexagons) above other club members.
*Active Sim means the Sim you are currently controlling in your household.
Not compatible with any other mods that customize or change Plumbobs.

"What does this mod do that the cheat doesn't?"
Yes, there is the headlineffects off cheat that you can use to remove plumbobs but it also removes all speech and thought bubbles. This mod simply makes plumbobs invisible. You really don't have to get this mod if you'd rather enter the cheat every time. This mod can be useful for storytellers who take a lot of screenshots or record gameplay.
"This mod is breaking my game"
I've tested the newest update for well over a month in different save files, different circumstances, with large and small groups of sims etc if the June 10th version is breaking your game then I really don't know why because it shouldn't! You'll have to remove it. I also play with about 30 different gameplay mods which include the most popular ones and haven't had an issue.
Update log:
🚨May 4th: I have reverted to the original mod that does not affect group plumbobs and group member hexagons above Sims' heads. I am working on a fix for 1.1 crashing group traveling but for now, go back to the original!
April 13th: Fixed the issue where plumbobs still showed up for group leaders/members if you have Get Together! They'll be invisible now along with the hexagons above group members.
March 24th: Compatible with the Marketplace update. If it’s not working for you, it’s conflicting with other mods!
So, I got sick and tired of the in-game frames being just three colors. And worse, the Large frame is metal, and the silver and gold do not match the brown or white wood frames on the smaller frames. So, I searched and searched the internet looking for a replacement. Nothing. Nada. I found one old file from @popsicle-sims on Lana CC Finds but the white wood replaced the black.
So, I decided to grab the texture for the large frame, and create my own override. TBH, Popsicle-Sims actually made a really nice wood texture. All credits to them for the texture.
But just replacing the three frames wasn’t going to cut it. Nope. I wanted some options. It’s about time we got options, right? I can’t be the only one bored with white, wood, or black frames. Now, I’ve seen where you can download frames to put over the photos. I didn’t want that!
I settled on using @storylegacysims Tell Me a Story palette. It has some really nice colors, and I didn’t want to make like more than a dozen or so swatches.
So, with that.... I give you a replacement mod for the frames. It comes with the the three black, white, and brown colors and the 14 bonus colors. This will probably tag your lot with CC. Though, when I put photos in my houses I’ve taken it gets tagged anyway.
