Omg I love your Avatar x Overwatch AU idea!! What kind of benders do you think each character would be? (Or non-benders, they can be kickass too)

I’m just going to go in the order they appear on playoverwatch!

Akande: Earth. Makes a big rock fist as a prosthetic, and fights with that. 

Genji: Fire, but he was never really good at it until he found Zenyatta. Zenyatta taught him how to take advantage of being light on his feet, which allowed him to utilize his bending more effectively by mixing in some air-nation moves. 

McCree: Nonbender. A clever con man when he was younger, and a peacekeeper when he got a little older. 

Pharah: Fire. She’s a master of propulsion based mobility, and can keep herself in the air for hours if she really focuses. 

Reaper/Reyes: Late blooming fire-bender. Like, really late. He was in his late 20′s before he realized he could do anything with it. Has a lot of raw power, but not a lot of control.

76/Morrison: Earth bender, poorly trained. 

Sombra: Nonbender. 

Tracer: Airbender. She’s awful at meditating and, like Reyes, has a lot of power but not a lot of control. She can use her bending to get around fast, though. 

Bastion:

Hanzo: Fire. A master bender, he can firebend and lightning bend with no difficulty. However, he operates best under stress, and small mistakes while in combat can make him lose his focus. 

Junkrat: Born firenation, he’s a nonbender. 

Mei: Born waternation, she’s a nonbender. 

Torb: Earth kingdom! Earth bender. often uses these abilities to make himself appear taller. 

Widowmaker: Firenation, nonbender. 

D.Va: Earth kingdom, earthbender! She’s a pro-bender and is loved throughout the kingdom. 

Orisa:  maybe a spirit or something? 

Reinhardt: Earth kingdom! Very powerful earthbender. 

Roadhog: Lower Earth Kingdom. Earthbender. 

Winston: Spirit? 

Zarya: Water nation, very powerful bender. 

Ana: Firenation, nonbender.

Lucio: Earth Kingdom, earthbender. Feel the rhythm!

Mercy: Water nation, water/bloodbender. 

Symmetra: Earth Kingdom, waterbender. 

Zenyatta: Airbender; is able to levitate.
