There are plenty of very pale skinned Chinese and East Asian people who are frequently drawn in a manner in anime styling that is mistaken for white by Europeans, which is probably what’s going on here.

it hadnt occured to me right away that ruby was asian but the thought that someone could just be like “no there’s no way they could be asian” is kind of ridiculous? their name is xiao long they name their dog wei ruby and the mothers are the only one with english names so? the though that they’re 100% white is just kind of strange

My mother is like that, to the point where she was upset when I got diagnosed. I think on some level a lot of parents are afraid things will somehow get worse for their children if they’re diagnosed. My Mom decided no one would hire me for example.
idk i could understand that but like???? he ddnt really bring any of that up he was just like basically “things are going to be hard for you but ask for help and power through it” i think on some level he might think that too but he pretty much said there’s no point in me getting diagnosed because, basically, i’m not a 7 year old kid who has “obvious troubles’
