Oh, there it is, one of their biggest insecurities coming out to the light. Chongyun already feels like they’re not doing enough for Liyue, since their yang energy tends to drive a lot away without him lifting a finger. It’s one thing to suspect, another entirely to actually hear it voiced aloud.

No matter how hard he trains to fight, or tries to see spirits, or even just protect people, something almost always happens and Chongyun winds up with people irritated at him, or ignoring his shortcomings in favor of paying them and sending them on their way. It’s a lonely life, really, and Chongyun wonders if that’s all he’s meant for. The yang energy had never been anything but a burden.
