How are you? I can only assume not well from what I have witnessed in the past week. It’s not truly my place to be writing you about this. I never thought it would come to this. I’m personally very disappointed in the way you’ve been treating Elijah. It seems as though he is worrying himself sick over you. If you do intend to continue your friendship with him, he deserves to know. What he does not deserve is to be strung along by someone that does not care about his feelings or emotions. I’m not entirely sure what has possessed you to think you had the right to spend the entire night traversing through the library. I had assumed, obviously incorrectly, that you disliked big, obnoxious gatherings as much as I do. And to think that someone I considered a friend, a very close personal friend, would abandon me in my time of need. I had to mingle, Paige. I was forced to mingle and talk and laugh at all the bad offensive jokes being told all night. While you had a beautiful ball in the library without me. I was prompted to talk about which branch of the Ministry I was planning on going into. Do you know which branch I’ve decided on? No. You abandoned me for books. Do I mean nothing to you? It seems like I do.

The school year’s been rather pleasant so far. Yes, Archibald is still in my dormitory. Albus still isn’t rather fond of him. To tell you the truth, he isn’t on a list of my favorite people either. Oh! Albus truly appreciates the sweets you sent for him. He really loved the cinnamon chocolates you found. I’m not sure how you always manage to find the perfect gifts. I still haven’t had a chance to give Beatrice her present, whatever it is, though I’m sure she’ll find it lovely.

How are you and Father? I’m growing a bit uneasy, though I suppose no more than usual. It’s nothing to concern yourself over. Is Father handling the news well? I know I’m not trying to speak of unpleasant things over owl, Mother. I would just rest slightly easier if I knew both of you and Grandmother and Grandfather were all happy and healthy. ☎ RUSHED owl [Over the summer]

I don’t even know if the owl will take this. Father’s made them very selective. He’s turned off the floo. I’ve been eating meals in my room in spite. I just wanted to let you know I miss you a ton and this is by far the worst thing I’ve ever experienced. This is worse than the first train ride alone. Your mother’s been over for tea so if the owl refuses to take this I’ll see if she will. Just know it’s almost September!
