I'm so fucking sexy. Pain wasn't too bad. I let the apprentice do the piercing and he flubbed a bit. He tore up the left side of my septum. I'm thinking about what piercing I should get next. I've always seen myself w tats and piercings so this is an amazing first step into that.

This is just word vomit, you don't have to read this. If you want to then by all means go ahead, but this is pretty much just me rambling about a few things from my botw adventure so far and writing down a few tips for myself incase I forget.

Freed my first divine beast of this playthrough. As always I immediately went for vah ruta. I've always loved mipha and sidon (mostly sidon), they're so cool!

I've also killed 3 lynels. I'm not strong enough to kill higher than a blue mane yet but that's alright. I'll get there. In my last playthrough I was hunting silver mane lynels so I know if I have enough hearts, fairies, and hearty elixirs I can do it. One of the first things I did when I got off the great plateau (after getting the camera rune) was head to lurelin village to collect hearty lizards. I filled the food page of my inventory with hearty elixirs then sold most of them. Did you know that the good ones (the ones that use 4 hearty lizards) sell for 240 a piece? Because I didn't until I was searching through my inventory for things to sell that would give me a lot of money for bomb arrows. If you just sold the ingredients for the elixir, depending on which monster part you used and how many hearty lizards you used, you would end up with any where between 23 rupees (one lizard and a bokoblin horn) and 280 rupees (4 lizards and either lynel guts or a giant ancient core). The less lizards you use the less money you get from selling the elixir. Also!! I always forget how to do the flurry rush, the perfect guard, and how to shield surf so I'm just gonna write them here in case I forget again.

Flurry rush- hold zl to lock onto your target. When the enemy is about to strike make link jump out of the way of the attack. If you do it right it should activate the flurry rush. If it doesn't activate you probably jumped too early

Perfect guard- once again lock onto the target. This time you hit the a button when they're about to strike. If done correctly the enemy will stumble giving you a chance to attack. If done wrong it just means that link was hit by the attack. Also apparently it works with deflecting guardian lasers. I'll have to give that a go so I don't have to use so many ancient arrows.

Shield surfing- like the previous 2 you hold the zl button. When you're in the lock on pose you press the jump button and the hit a. You gotta make sure you're on a hill or you're just gonna end up damaging your shield. If you do it correctly you're gonna be flying down the slope. If you don't start surfing you probably got the timing wrong. Out of the 3 actions this one is the least likely to get you killed. HOWEVER, if you're on a big hill and your shield breaks on you then you're just gonna tumble down the hill and take damage all the way down. If you don't have enough hearts, food, fairies, or miphas grace then you're gonna die from the fall.

Funny story about bout shield surfing, I tried to do it down the stairs in the zoras domain and I guess I was using an Extremely damaged shield because as soon as my shield made contact with the stairs it broke and my link tumbled down them. Once link got back up I made him try again. Turns out those stairs are terrible for shield surfing. Real slow and bumpy.
