hi would you mind elaborating about your rimestar demolition lovers au?

Hiiiiii tbh I don't have anything especially concrete beyond just "what if. the story of the Demolition Lovers. but Rimestar" so

If you're unfamiliar (sorry if you are and I'm yapping for no reason!), basically, the Demolition Lovers are a fictional criminal couple that MCR's first two albums are loosely centered around. At the end of the first album (in the song Demolition Lovers), they get caught in a gunfight and the man dies. And like--look at these lyrics, this is SO Rimestar from Owl's POV:

The next album picks up with him in Hell making a deal with the devil: if he brings him the souls of 1000 evil men, he can be reunited with his lover. He agrees, so the devil hands him a gun and sends him back up. The album follows him through this journey--mass murder, getting thrown in prison, wondering if it's worth it, enduring loneliness and guilt, until the very last song, I Never Told You What I Do For A Living, where he finds out that it was all a trick. He was the 1000th evil soul all along, and he will never be reunited with his love.

SO with all that yapping done my idea is kind of like, the song Demolition Lovers as the actual events of Here Lies Bellflower, then it picks up with Owl making some kind of deal with the Will of Honkai. Idk what exactly bc it obviously can't be "bring me the souls of 1000 evil men" but, y'know, something that sets him up as doing horrible things. Very loosely follow the plot beats of Revenge and I do mean very loosely, like I don't think It's Not A Fashion Statement would happen bc he wasn't exactly angry about Mei killing them, etc etc. At the end whoops! It was all for naught, whether because WoH can't actually do what it promised him or because Ana herself doesn't actually want to come back or whatever else.

It's been months since I first had the idea of Rimestar Demolition Lovers AU and I still think about it constantly. Maybe I'll actually write a fic 🤔
