what if bird flock dynamics had the same cultural prominence as the popular misconceptions of wolf pack dynamics?
what kind of highly specific fetish fic would take the place of a/b/o?

Watchdom peeps you’ll be glad (or horrified) to know that I have this one owlbb doodle on a post-it note that lives perpetually in my junk drawer.
So whenever I need a battery or a paper clip or one of those tiny light bulbs you use for cheap brass chandeliers I open the drawer and there an owlbb is, staring up at me with bug-eyed accusation.
Long story short you can never fully escape your past.
Owl blog I follow just put out a call for pics of owl babies.
My Watchdom peeps totally understand just how serious of an internal struggle it was not to upload half of my pchat art folder.
greycloaks replied to your post:I’m so glad I left bucket fandom.
bucket?
haha oh god
basically, in like... late 2009/early 2010, someone on the Watchmen kinkmeme prompted eggfic, and this lead to an AU where Dan and Rorschach are the parents of a little flock of MUTANT WEREOWL BABIES.
Somehow, these terrifying little creatures became like... the fandom's pet OCs. For a while there, they were in virtually every picture in the Watchmen pchat, and I guess someone got tired of them, because they made a fandom secret saying that they had to leave, because they were "everywhere". The photo used in the secret was of a bucketful of baby owls.
Watchdom thought this was hilarious. *Nobody else* knew what the hell it was referring to, and someone posted "I'm so glad I left bucket fandom", and then *that* went memetic too.
People on my dash horrified by owlbbs.
My absolute favorite thing about the Japanese Watchmen fandom:
As weird as it is, I assure you...
For once, the American fandom is a whole lot fucking weirder. <3
maivee
I’ve been using the internet for what…15 years ish now. I’ve seen things, man, things that I’m sure most of you have also seen. I’ve been amused, disgusted, aroused, confused, hysterical, nauseated and horribly depressed by things I’ve seen (actually all of those were my reactions to 2 girls 1 cup)
But that owlbabies link up there?
That is the single weirdest thing I have ever seen online.
I…I got nothing. Seriously. It’s not even that it’s fucked up it’s just…wat.
I watted. I watted hard.
Well done Leb, for bringing this to my attention. I feel like I’m never going to be psychologically the same again.
Making this into a post for posterity.
