Flare of the Morning Star

PART VI: UNYIELDING

Felix is nothing if not determined; the desire to avoid a repeat of the terrible imprisonment has driven him to push beyond his limits.

For the first time in many years, he saw fit to go training…

He only ended up stopping there because of a sudden freeze that drove him and Sheba to end early in favor of going somewhere warmer.

Determined and focused, though, he has an idea in mind.

Felix: -More gently now- {…That’s why I had to become fighting fit again. Get stronger, too, while I’m at it.}

[He gave a reassuring smile.]

Felix: {That’s turned out rather well for me. I’ve finally reached a degree of mastery over my element that I hadn’t even realized was possible—and I’m much sturdier and more powerful, now, thanks to the training.}

Felix: {All I need are some more options.}

Felix: {Something that will help me make the most of fighting to my last.}
