Longest serving bottom bracket yet, this Hope BB with ceramic bearings has survived two shitty British winters now. Been a bit squeaky and rough for the last couple of rides, time for another strip, clean and regrease as the bearings are full of grit & crud. In fact the drive side had seized completely! Once done they're smooth again! Not such a strong year on the pedals here, still a good one though which some great rides in new places with awesome people and occasionally a beer or a few! Looking forward to some more adventures in 2019, have some things planned, as always time and life permitting! Two jobs and a family means over half this years riding was on the turbo with Sufferfest and Zwift!! Over a thousand miles going nowhere in the garage, but the legs are still strong and ready for the new year. Turbo haters gonna hate, but haters only hate because they don't understand. Remember all this Internet chumps moaning on about clown bikes.... You probability don't because they STFU pretty quickly (and many probably own a 29er now!) once people realised the strengths of the wagon wheel... That don't just lay in XC but also DH and everywhere in between. Not that there is anything wrong with 26" wheels, or 650b or riding outdoors in the real world, on a hard core steel hard tail or a titanium gravel adventure bike or a carbon monster cross or b+ full sus. </mini caffeine rant> TLDR; Ride what you want wherever and whenever you can and enjoy your ride.
