Bay Breeze Cottage

Situated on the water and close to Orient Village, the cottage is located on West Bay Avenue. From the front porch, you look directly at the Orient Yacht Club, which is at the end of Village Lane. Village Lane is also home to Orient Country Store (literally a 2 minute walk from the house). It opens at 8am and you can get basic groceries here along with coffee, muffins, sandwiches, newspapers etc.. https://plus.google.com/110199235116880105349/about?gl=us&hl=en http://www.orientyc.com/ The cottage itself has 4 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is also cable tv and Internet for those of you who are worried about modern conveniences. That said, it is a seasonal cottage (read: Not Fancy/Rustic/Quaint..you get the idea). I promise we are going to try and gay it up a bit with some furniture, art, pillows etc though. FYI - there is also a private outdoor shower in the back yard to wash the beach off and a clothes line to hang the towels on to dry.Regardless, the view from the house is sick! I will post pictures of the inside once we decorate. Maybe a before and after.. There are three beaches within walking distance to the house, both on the sound and in Orient Harbor. I will warn you that these are Rock beaches and not sand, but their are plenty of Sand beaches a short drive or bike ride a way (example: Orient Beach State Park). Shelter Island is a ferry ride away, as well as Montauk, South and East Hampton (if you're a surfer). All these places will have their own blog posts with more activities, bars, restaurants and more. Some other fun thing we are bringing out there/will have around the house: The Grill (obviously), Bean Bag toss, bocce ball, a hammock, Cards Against Humanity, Settlers of Catan, A paddle board, two bikes, frisbee, golf clubs, beach towels and whatever else we buy between now and then. And lots of Alcohol. You should plan on bringing a book (optional) and a bathing suit.
