Hey super curious what was the last Centaur and octopus comic you did? And also does it serve as the end of their adventures ?
It’s been a hot minute...September 2017, I think? No, it wasn’t the ending piece, only an “interim” piece. In my mind I do have an idea of a dramatic finale, ever since last year (I even have some funny snappy dialog planned), though I’ve never managed to convince myself to make it yet.
I mean, even though the content of that “end” is not decisively final per se, I have a gut feeling that to make it would have ritualistic weight...a farewell to my impressionable younger fandom self that first created it, a tribute to an way of experiencing the ship that I’ll never attain again, and a final thank you to anyone who have nurtured its development and might still remember and care about it.
It’s like, a part of me wants to hold off from letting go, even though it is inevitable? If I won’t be able to do the actual layout drawing of a comic, I might do the second best thing to give closure, and write it up as a ficlet 😂
