I completely forgot to post this one! Here is the fairy/fae from a little while back, this one was a lot of new stuff to me, working out how to get the feathers right and then the reflections of light, and making the fairy look supernatural but not enough to have it look out of place, incorporating the actual piece of branch and then making the branch of the sculpt fit in and look the same, I hope everyone likes it!!! And here is my finished "Palace of Medusa" based on the artwork of the same name by @patrickjjonesillustrator sculpted by the team @mindwork.studio I fell in love with this as soon as I saw it! Painting this was quite possibly the most work I have ever done on a piece, with numerous layers going into each element and glazing to try to get as much depth as I could without making it look overdone. I loved the original and wanted to show it while amplifying the colour so it could be seen at its smaller scale, which proved to be quite challenging! I really hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do and I also hope that it might get some sort of achievement at the @qld_model_hobbies_expo in August, so if you are in the Brisbane area and are attending the event you can see this amazing piece as well as some of my other works in person! Hey there party people! Here we have the simplified bust of Mary Reed from @scale75 which was a bonus from their recent Kickstarter, this was possibly the smallest bust I have worked on being 1:12 scale I went all in on this as I would like to enter it in to @qld_model_hobbies_expo in August! took a little break from the fairy to visit Andrew and the team at Warhammer Mt. Gravatt over the weekend and picked up the 'Mini of the month' the Cadian Shock Trooper, I keep forgetting how small the humans are compared to everything else! I surprised myself with how much detail I got into him, and how fine I was able to do the linework, I think he turned out pretty good.... What do you think? Sorry for the quietness, when it rains it pours.... except anywhere near this house for some reason, anyway! It's been hotter than icarus' armpit hair the last few days and my main pc (and myself) have decided enough is enough, so I need to rebuild my pc by the look of it and give it all a good clean out, So that means I'm going to be quiet for a few days until I get it running, I'll still be floating around but consumed with the pc so not much painting.... but!
