I am certain that you have all been eagerly anticipating the conclusion to this dreadful weekend punishment. All students and faculty are now free to vacate the premises. I would like to remind students to be mindful of their future actions, to ensure that you do not find yourselves in this horrible predicament ever again.
Please do not forget to submit your reflective essays engaging the subject of 'Who do you think you are?' to a member of staff.
Important info can be found below:
Everyone is required to stop making starters for the task now. However, current conversations can be continued.
You can all reply to your normal pre-task conversations now, and you can start new ones of course.
A post with all the details on our Camping Trip Event will be posted 6:30 pm EST Tuesday 30th Sept.
Please send any relevant summaries of your characters' plots during this task to the gossip blog, please make sure you indicate it is in fact a summary of your character's experience, so it isn't posted.
Also please post your 'Who do you think you are?' essays now before resuming convos, thanks! (It's not exactly compulsory so if you completely forgot don't worry :p) Please tag it as 'oz breakfast club' as well.
Okay, really quick because someone just asked, other people will not be reading your answers in character. So you answer in character, but the other characters may not know anything you reveal in your answers, just the members. If that makes sense.
The list with classes, and the students in those classes is now up. You can find it here.
It's a bit of a mess tbh, but you can just find your class and who's in them with you.
Also you can now access it on my page, along with the Course Choices and Room-mates. I would be updating the main with all of these too.
Finally, some people are still yet to submit their choices, so please do that asap. And some teachers need to inform me of what classes they will like to teach please. Miss Mendell has been the only one to do so so far.
Please like this post to indicate that you've read it.
It has come to my attention that there was an incident which involved some negative physical interaction yesterday. We would like to remind our students of our no bullying rule:
7. Students must not bully or harass others.
a) Tame it! Address intolerant statements immediately by saying statements such as “cut it out” or “stop that!” Oasis Zeta strives to create a safe and hostile free learning environment for all students.
b) Name it! Identify/call out intolerant statements for what they are. For example, “That was a put down,” “What you just said is a stereotype,” “You are bullying him,” “What you said is sexual harassment,” or “You’re excluding her from the group.”
c) Claim it! State the school rules and/or core values. “At Oasis Zeta we respect each other’s differences,” “Check out that poster” and point to the Respect our Differences poster, or say “You might not mean to hurt anyone, but I was offended and others could be too.”
d) Reframe it! Determine what needs to happen next. Report the incident to the office or an adult, or thank the person for apologizing.
The students in question will have a required meeting with a member of staff that is to be determined.
Any faculty member interested in taking up this conference should please inform me, then plan it with Perrie + Ariel. You guys can just have a private gif chat with the three of you or para it, whatever you wish.
The aim for the faculty member is to dissolve the situation, obviously the girls' feelings towards each other will likely not change much but calm them down a bit at that moment in time and attempt to resolve it.
I wish our counsellor was online, that member hasn't joined us yet!
P.S. private message me if you're not sure what I want from the meeting or need a little guide on how it should go.
