We've arrived back at the school. Don't forget there are no lessons today. Before you all get off the bus I'll now announce the winning groups of the hiking challenge.
Kendall Taylor, Jett Mazari and Amelia Jones, then James Calder, Tyana Veronn and Ariel Guiseppi have won the prizes. The members of both groups will get the privilege to raise any one of your test grades at a point of your choosing, one full grade up. Use this prize wisely but do not take it as an opportunity to slack.
We're headed back to Oasis Zeta now. I'll like to remind all student and staff that there will be no break on this journey. We will be arriving at school 5am in the morning. Please keep your seatbelts on and stay seated. Your safety is incredibly important to us.
The canoeing is over. I know no one did it lol. The bus will be leaving for school again at 8pm and there will be no break on the journey back. We'll arrive at school 5am on the Friday. Everyone will have a free day, hence a longer weekend.
Canoeing starts now. Everyone is expected to be back at the camp site at 6pm where we'll unpack and begin our journey back to school at 8pm.
The canoe partners are below:
Mark Parrish + Lauryn Alexander
Victor Islington + Briana Hart
Kendall Taylor + Ariel Guissepi
Victoria Day + Roman Alexander
Elizabeth Kennedy + James Calder
Kayleigh Raines + Amelia Jones
Theodore Crawford + Jett Mazari
Perseus Moon + Tyana Veronn
Basically have a gif chat/para or whatever with your partner, not sure who'll be online and when but I've just put people up that have been online even briefly through this event.
Since there's practically no one online, I've decided to scrap the chatzy for the campfire. Instead people can make starters regarding the campfire if you wish. Up until Midnight EST.
Reminder that today all students and faculty are free to do what they wish with their time.
Below you will find the site map for a nearby camp resort in which you are permitted to explore. There is also a nearby river which at a price you will be able to participate in fishing or boating. You will also find a nearby nature museum.
Everyone is required to be back at our camp site at 6pm. Do not be late. And have a good day.
We're supposed to be having a camp fire at 6pm on a chatzy, but if most people aren't here I'll just scrap that and it can be done in gif chats.
The hike is over now. The groups who've won the prizes will be announced at the end of the trip. Reminder that students should be in their tents by 10pm. Tomorrow students and staff are permitted to do what they wish with their time till 6pm when we will have our campfire. A list of available activities and surroundings will be provided around 10am.
The hike begins now and ends at 9pm EST in which students + staff members will have an hour before bed-time. Staff will not partake in the hike but will be required to pay attention as all students are handled a whistle so if you're ever lost any member of staff that hears your whistle can find you.
There is a mini task within this hike:
You've been provided a book of plants, it's your job as a group to look out for the different plants in this habitat on your way to the destination. Only some of the plants below will be found. The group with the most found plants will win a prize.
The hike will start at 4pm. Please make sure you're prepared and have appropriate shoes for hiking.
The following people are in groups for the hike:
Kendall Taylor + Jett Mazari + Amelia Jones
Perrie Holland + Perseus Moon + Atticus Rockwell
Kayleigh Raines + Victoria Day + Theodore Crawford
James Calder + Tyana Veronn + Ariel Guiseppi
Roman Alexander + Victor Islington + Lauryn Alexander
Briana Hart + Nolan Raines + Mark Parrish
Delaney Carter + Jessalyn Wynters + Scarlett St. Clair + Aurora Islington
Students are expected to look out for, and take note of the plants they see along the way. There will be a prize for the team with the most correct findings on nature, as well as for the team who reaches the destination in the shortest amount of time.
I will basically post a word-search for all teams to complete, the first team to arrive at the destination and send it in will be the quickest and will receive a prize. The team with the most correct number of plants will also receive a prize.
Everyone is expected to be back at the camp site by 9pm.
If any of you decide to subject your characters to going missing please inform me first. Also inform me if any major event may happen during the hike.
We have finally arrived at the camp site. Everyone will be provided a tent which you have to put up with your partner and be in by 10pm EST. If you need help pitching your tent please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff for help. Also you can collect some evening food through asking a member of staff. We have fresh fruit, sandwiches, several flavoured chips, some chocolate bars and fruit juices. Everyone is subject to only one item of each category, unless there are leftovers.
Any students caught lurking around past 10pm will receive punishments for their disobedience. Tomorrow, our hike begins at 4pm so everyone is expected to be ready by then, however there is no event occurring before then. This means you are free to do whatever you wish, but only within the area of our pitched tents. So before then you have time to freshen up however you want, and communicate with your peers. This also means you have the freedom to sleep as long as you wish, but there will be a call at 3pm to make sure everyone is up and ready on time.
Despite my warning for all of you to be here at 3pm sharp, we were delayed by a couple wandering sophomores who got lost in the process. However it seems everyone is back now, so shall we continue our journey.
Your 30 minute break starts now. There's a Starbucks, McDonalds, a Wal-Mart, Dunkin' Donuts, some restrooms, and a few small independent boutiques in this building. You may just walk around the car park if you wish to.
Every one is required to be back on the coach by 3pm sharp, so don't waste too much time and make sure you have your phone with you at all times, to check the time as well as to contact anyone if you need help or anything.
Good morning students and staff members. I hope everyone has packed the correct items for the camping trip. We would be spending a splendid 4 days at a beautiful camp-site in Plainfield. I will shortly announce your tent partners. But first I would like to remind everyone that the staff is here to help you with any issues you may have and you should not feel afraid to approach either of us if you have a problem.
I would like to remind all students to not wander off into the woods, stay with the group at all times. When we have announced bed-time, that means you are obligated to stay in your tents; should you be found outside your tent at those hours, you will be admitted a detention slip. Our usual behaviour codes of conduct still apply, regardless of the setting, so please obey them. Most importantly, everyone should have fun and take this as a wonderful learning experience.
This coach journey should last us until 5pm, we will have a short 30 minute break at 2:30pm before we continue the journey. You will be able to buy food, stretch your legs and maybe buy any other items you might need. There is a toilet on this coach so use that wisely. And please remain seated at all times, preferably with your seatbelts on. Thank you.
(Tent partners + other details below)
Firstly, please do not continue previous normal conversations until the event is over. You will be required to have conversations only in this setting of the camping trip until Friday 5am EST when the event is completely over.
Please tag all starters, paras and such with #ozcamptrip so we can all keep up with everything. Please don't conjure your own tag, I'd like everyone to be on the same page!
Tent Partners:
If your character's name isn't mentioned that means I have not received confirmation of your attendance of the event or have reason to believe due to a hiatus or your drop in activity, you may not be able to participate in the event.
So please let me know asap if your name isn't below but you'll be able to participate! Also if a character's name is below that you don't believe will be able to participate, please let me know as soon as possible.
This means that the tent partners will be subject to change, but I will do my best to not change things too drastically after 5pm EST.

I will of course have another post announcing the end of the coach journey at 5pm EST.
Again, any questions or suggestions you have, please let me know!
The Camping trip will run for four days (6th to 9th October) in which the following will happen.
(All times are EST)
DAY ONE - Monday 6th October - Students and faculty should be on the coach heading to the camp site at 11am, in which the tent partners will be announced at that time. The journey should end by 5pm. Students and faculty are expected to pitch their tents and prepare for a good night sleep once arrived.
DAY TWO - Tuesday 7th October - There will be a hike starting from 4pm in which everyone will be split into groups of three or four. Students are expected to look out for, and take note of the plants they see along the way. There will be a prize for the team with the most correct findings on nature, as well as for the team who reaches the destination in the shortest amount of time. Everyone is expected to be back at the camp site by 9pm.
DAY THREE - Wednesday 8th October - Students will be given the opportunity to do what they like for most of this day; details of the surroundings and therefore available activities will be provided. At 6pm we will have a campfire. There will be a chatzy for the campfire, that would be posted on the day.
DAY FOUR - Thursday 9th October - Students will be canoeing between the hours of 10am and 6pm. Everyone will be in pairs or threes due to the canoe's capacity. Everyone is expected to disassemble their tents, pack up, and be ready for the coach which leaves at 8pm.
We will be arriving back at school at 5am on the Friday morning. There will be no lessons on that Friday.
Please tag all starters in terms of paras, gif chats or even chatzy posts with #ozcamptrip.
Again if you haven't already done so, please let me know if you can attend this event, and which days you should be able to attend.
I will need everyone to send me their time-zones please, this is mainly for the canoeing event, and possibly the hike. I want to make sure that people will be able to interact with their partners at roughly the same time.
There will be a post at the beginning of every day/event highlighting important information about them, so do make sure you find them and read them each day.
The times are definitely negotiable if people think they wouldn't work brilliantly. I've tried my best to make them times that could hopefully accommodate most time-zones. But that is still difficult to manage, and I would be up for better suggestions, although I'll have to run them by everyone first.
You are free to do whatever you wish in gif chats, paras and so on. For the canoeing event, I will be requiring that everyone has a gif chat, chatzy/separate chat (which will have to be posted) or para with their partner. Also for tent partners, the same will be required. I will remind you of important information like that on the day.
Any questions, please contact me via the dean or main.
And please like this post to indicate that you have read it.
I am certain that you have all been eagerly anticipating the conclusion to this dreadful weekend punishment. All students and faculty are now free to vacate the premises. I would like to remind students to be mindful of their future actions, to ensure that you do not find yourselves in this horrible predicament ever again.
Please do not forget to submit your reflective essays engaging the subject of 'Who do you think you are?' to a member of staff.
Important info can be found below:
Everyone is required to stop making starters for the task now. However, current conversations can be continued.
You can all reply to your normal pre-task conversations now, and you can start new ones of course.
A post with all the details on our Camping Trip Event will be posted 6:30 pm EST Tuesday 30th Sept.
Please send any relevant summaries of your characters' plots during this task to the gossip blog, please make sure you indicate it is in fact a summary of your character's experience, so it isn't posted.
Also please post your 'Who do you think you are?' essays now before resuming convos, thanks! (It's not exactly compulsory so if you completely forgot don't worry :p) Please tag it as 'oz breakfast club' as well.
Good morning students and faculty. The Saturday detention starts now. The rules for this detention are as follows.
Students are required to keep their voices at low volumes at all times.
You may only leave the classroom on the occasion that a faculty member gives you permission to do so.
You are required to complete an essay on the subject 'Who do you think you are?'
Any faculty member is permitted to give you an appropriate punishment if any rules are violated.
All the usual school rules apply, even though it is a Saturday, you are still in school and in the classroom, so you will behave accordingly.
OOC details under read more.
Firstly if you have no idea what this is about then click here because I announced a task a couple days ago and I'm aware that some people might have missed it.
I didn't mention in the original task post but the essays should be posted publicly, you can tag it as ozrptask. They have to be posted by the end of the event at 2PM EST Sunday 28th September. These should be posted at the end of the mini-event, so you can write it before but save it as a draft then post it or queue it for then. (I know I said in the previous post that it can be posted before then, but I thought it'd be nicer and neater to have it at the end.)
Reminder that you should abandon any other replies outside of the task for this time period please. You can resume all other conversations after.
If you have a major occurrence you're planning, that could affect other characters or affect your character dramatically, please run it by me.
Don't forget to tag conversation starters with 'oz breakfast club', you can use the usual starter tag as well if you wish, as long as it's indicated that your post is for this task then that's great.
Lastly, enjoy the mini-event, have fun plotting and whatnot. And keep your eye out for the revised detailed post about our Camping Trip Event, I've decided to save the post for that for once this task is over.
Send me any questions or suggestions you have about the task, thank you!
Welcome to Oasis Zeta's very own version of The Breakfast Club!
So if you haven't watched the film don't fret (but go and watch it asap!)
For this task every student (that can attend) will be serving Saturday detention from 4AM EST on Saturday 27th September 2014 to 2PM EST on Sunday 28th September 2014.
Main things that are required:
You have to decide on a reason for your character to be at the detention, you can come up with any idea you want. This includes teachers, think of how your character got roped into supervising the detention. Going into the detention, we will assume that no one knows why anyone else is at detention. Everyone is required to share the reason they are there at one point, with at least one other character.
Your character also has to share something personal with another character. Preferably one whom they would not usually share such things with, but that isn't mandatory. It has to be something that no one really knows about your character, this gives room for some development as well as a possible new connection.
Students are required at the end (or during the event is fine) to write an essay just like in the film, on 'Who do you think you are?' Write this piece as your character. This doesn't actually have to be really long and detailed if you don't want it to be; after all, in the film, theirs wasn't.
Couple other things:
This task could be a lot of fun if you plot with some characters regarding events that could happen during the detention period, so I really encourage discussing with other members on things you'd like to see happen.
Especially, planning something with a character you haven't interacted much with in the past. Which may or may not lead to your character sharing their personal information/secret, or informing them of their reason for being at the detention.
The dean may or may not be posting small sudden events, if I feel like the time is appropriate or feel like something would work well at that moment, so look out for posts from the dean. Also she would mark the beginning of the mini-event with an introductory post stating the detention rules etc.
During this time, all conversations outside of the task are required to be paused, they can be resumed once the task is over.
Please tag any starters for this task with the usual #ozrpstarter tag, as well as #oz breakfast club so that people are aware that your starter is part of the task.
If you have any questions or suggestions please message me via the dean or main.
