P&K WHIRL A WAY FISHING LURE
Yet Another Silly P&K Guessing Game
Who's ready for another guessing game?
(Everyone's hands go up, because I'm the narrator.)
Marvelous!
Rules are a little different this time. Your job is to try pairing the quotes I give you with my OCs based on your very limited knowledge of their personalities and quirks!
If you guess right, you get to send me a quote of your own. Incorrect or straight from one of your WIPs. I'm not particular. Send it with any information about the quote you think you might be relevant, like the appearance of the OC who says it or any other context you think I might need, and I'll draw it!
Mutuals, you know the drill. All the OCs I have listed below are people I've mentioned at some point or other. Pick one quote to guess. And if you guess wrong, you're probably gonna get a drawing anyway.
Reintroduction Time!
Tumblr Update: @adrielcastlyre and I recently took a bit of a break from P&K posting, but we’ve returned, and we’re back at work. Folks who are still waiting on art projects or ask responses from @smzeszikorova, I’m still there, and I haven’t forgotten about any of you. (Apologies for the delay. I’d like to make the excuse that I’ve been busy with my last semester of school, but as you can see, I haven’t been nearly busy enough to warrant this long of a break. This is why I don’t do paid commissions.)
If you’re looking for writeblr community engagement and tag games, that’s where you’ll find them. For now, this blog’s for updates, mainly. We’ll probably also post P&K art every now and again. If I find the time this week, I’ll put up a more thorough introductory post. Something friendlier for newcomers.
Writing update: I’ve been hard at work on my undergrad thesis, which is essentially a collection of letters exchanged between characters in-universe, along with a complete outline of all four books. The letters are in progress; the outline is complete. We’ve reviewed everything we have, and the narrative’s more coherent than ever. It’s also changed a lot, to the degree that a lot of my old art posts read like mediocre P&K fanfiction. Such is the nature of this eternal revision process, I suppose.
Art update: In the spirit of growth and change, I’ve posted a redesigned Alan Winson—the least spoilery of my recent art projects. Enjoy!
Real quick art of a character in a story connected to p&k. Their name is Hero Santel…
Apologies that it’s kinda rough, I don’t really do digital art
Leures Redesigns!!
Hello, fellow writers!
I am bored out of my mind and thought it might be fun to connect with some of your projects, so here’s a game: I’ll ask a few questions about my OCs. You reblog, pick a question to guess, and submit either a picture or a physical description of your OC. And if you guess right, I’ll try to draw your OC.
So you know, I’ve got about 100 characters, but I’m not gonna ask questions about any OC I haven’t already drawn and told you the name of.
I’m doing this assuming I’m only gonna get a few responses (if any), so on the off chance that I do get like a bajillion replies, I’ll probably only draw the first few who guess correctly.
And tag your writer friends if you’ve got any, that way there’s a better chance somebody gets a correct answer.
Also, if you don’t want to scroll through all the fluff just to know who my characters are, type “art” into my blog’s search bar. You’ll see every drawing I’ve made so far, and you’ll have the names of all the characters you can select from.
Anyway.
Which of my characters got expelled from university for causing irreparable physical and psychological trauma to another student, whom they also happened to be dating at the time?
Which of my characters can shapeshift into animals?
Which character can turn themself and anything they’re touching (like clothing and weapons) invisible?
Which character loves spiders?
Which character is known among their friends and family for being a kitchen disaster?
Tagging @dogmomwrites @marinesocks @sockscosyquarters @thepixiediaries @luckadelic @thegreatfallcomic @daisywords @starlightscribe just to guarantee someone sees this. But absolutely no pressure, and also anyone can participate.
My plan is to post the drawings of your OCs on both my P&K account and my reblog account (after I’ve sent them back to you to make sure you’re happy with the finished product), that way they get maximum visibility, but if you don’t want that, let me know.
Hope you guys have fun with this!
Yet Another Silly P&K Guessing Game: Results Are IN!!!
And thanks so much to @the-stray-storyteller and @clairelsonao3 for the responses! I did not get many, which means, as promised, I'm bumping up the number of pictures I'm doing.
Without further ado, here are the answers. (Participants, DM me with info about y'all's OCs and their quotes you want me to use for the drawings. I'm looking forward to it!)
Easier Round: Two Drawings
Quote the First: Levi Niacera "I won't say I didn't mean it; I found it comical, to be honest, watching you gaze at that sandwich as thought it were the only thing on Earth . . . Tell me, is the sandwich more handsome than I am?"
Quote the Second: Catherine Leures “Your friend's an ass, is what he is—all wrapped up in a net of pretty manners and idiosyncrasies, but an ass all the same."
Quote the Third: Aorin Khozlova "It will not save us, but it's a trace of hope in the dark. And if I am wrong to place my faith in your kindness, I'll hardly be worse off than the others. I'll live and die like them, as your king sees fit."
Harder Round: Two Drawings + Extra Clout
Quote the Fourth: Adriel Castlyre "Don’t soften your words on my account; I know what you think. And I’ve got nothing against travel, so you know, only the idea that it somehow endows you and the rest of your state institution lot with more wisdom and cultural perspective than people like me can dream of.”
Quote the Fifth: Sera Selney "It’s not your face that’s familiar, strangely. It’s your confidence in dealing with me and . . . and that strikingly-colored jacket you’re wearing. Curly little monogram on the lapel, if my memory serves me, but since you’ve got the collar up, I can’t be sure. Anyway, I’d guess you’re the Santel heir’s latest toy. Am I right?"
Quote the Sixth: Lyn Leures “Really? First I’ve heard of it . . . but I’m flattered. Care for a drink, fellow corner-dweller?”
Bonus Round: Three Drawings
Quote the Last: Theodore Swan "Is someone there?"
Once again, thanks for joining in. These games are a lot more complicated and time-consuming than the regular sort of tag game stuff I do, but I really do love them. It means a lot that y'all let me take part in your stories like this.
