And I told you about all those fears || Arch & Clary
Clary was often meeting new victors, or in Archimedes case, old victors, now that they were all arriving in the Capitol and getting themselves set up and sorted out. It was in Clary's nature to be helpful and he acted no differently when Archimedes asked him about the orphanage. It was a part of Clary's job as an escort to be helpful and informative to the victors but something made him go beyond that duty with Archimedes.
He definitely did not have to tell him about his past and his adoption. Clary wasn't ashamed of his past, he'd gotten over the fact he was adopted when he was a teenager. He'd seen what some "real" parents could be like and he decided he was very lucky to have been adopted by the Finn's.
There were a lot of common coincidences between Clary's and Archimedes stories but he didn't take too much notice of it. He could barely remember the orphanage but he did remember that there were lots of kids there and anyone of them could have been Archimedes grandson. Clary hoped, for Archimedes sake, that they found some extra information about him. He might still be in the Capitol if they were lucky.
Clary decided to walk to the Victor's Hotel, he knew from living with Jameson, that not all victors liked the idea of traveling in cars and he didn't mind the walk anyway even if it was still chilly outside. Besides, it was a good way to sneak in a cigarette while he walked. They had arranged to meet over a week ago so he could only hope that Archimedes still remembered. He made it to the Hotel a little early and decided to finish his smoke before heading inside.
"Arch, good to see you! I'm glad you remembered." he said when Arch appeared at the doors of the hotel. He quickly discarded his cigarette and leaned forward to shake Arch's hand in greeting. "The orphanage isn't far, just a couple of blocks. I hope you don't mind the walk?"
