(At Least This Isn’t) The Real World \\ Gwen & Griffin
It was rather unfortunate that Gwen looked forward to the weekends as much as she did, in her opinion. She knew that this was going to be the rest of her life and she needed to get used to only having two days of freedom for whatever she wanted to do per week, but part of her hated that she needed to conform to society’s expectation of what a normal and good life looked like. Well, she decided with a shrug, it really wouldn’t be right to dwell on it at the current moment and ruin the start of her weekend that had started after her last class had gotten out on Friday. She had walked back to the common room to dump her bag off and change out of her robes.
She thought about exploring the castle some as she left her room and came back down to the common room, but the room was empty and the couch looked really comfortable. She decided a relaxing time was in order and jumped onto the couch, spreading out across it and jamming a pillow under her neck. She had just gotten comfortable when the common room door swung open and loud voices filtered in. She groaned but couldn’t be too upset, it was a public room after all. She was just about to get up and actually do something when someone said her name and she opened her eyes to find Griffin standing above her. She grinned up at him.
“What’s up?” she asked as she propped herself on her elbows so she wasn’t completely lying down anymore.
