Aphrodite had not forgiven Hephaestus for how he’d humiliated her in the past. However, when he’d come back to Mount Phoenix looking so delectably handsome, she decided that she would not be against getting close to him again - at least to use him for their mutual benefit of making Ares jealous. He was her husband, after all, even if he were not someone her heart wanted. “Hephie,” she greeted him, a hand on his shoulder, “I didn’t expect to see you here.”
