Madeline settled Dot into one of the high chairs set up next to their booth in Pop’s, and she smiled at the three of them as she waited in her seat for Dexter to get Jack settled in the other chair. “Hi,” she said once he sat down across from her, and she took his hands, sandwiching them between hers. “Normally, I’d say this would be a cause for celebration. I’m legally part of your family now.” She smiled and glanced at the twins. “I know that you’re having mixed feelings now, though. Could you give me a color, sweetheart?” @dexterxwells
