The Spring Fest only took a day to happen but it felt like weeks to Ezra. Of course his work had a lot to do with it. He worked backstage, making sure every artist and entertainer had what they needed; kept an eye on the playlists, kept the speakers booming with the right festive vibe; became a talent manager and stage director in no time; and had to work alongside his boss, Ava, in broad daylight ---at least Ava doesn’t see all the mistakes he does in the nightclub.
The after-party was a blast, even though he and Cecilia didn’t stay behind. They only spent 2 hours in the after-party to catch up with friends (they had a lot), and Ezra used most of it on his time with Max, which turned out to be a really good decision for both of them, including Cecilia. The best part about that night though was when Ezra was driving to Cece’s home, with Cece on the passenger seat. They spent the rest of the night together, and of course, woke up in her bed. It was surprising, waking up in a house that wasn’t his. But with what their plans for today, it was the beginning of good things.
“Babe, remember when I told you about getting a dog?” He said as he chew on the crispy bacon. Side-eyeing Erik as he did so, afraid the cat might pounce on him for saying the word ‘dog.’ Ezra was wearing a plain white shirt, his hair still wet from the shower. “What do you say we go get him or her, now?”
