wicked games ↬ arabella & caden
Arabella smiled as she put her phone down, and made her way to her closet. It wasn't unusual for Caden to ask her to come over when it was inconvenient for the girl. But at this point, she was willing to drop whatever she was doing just to be with him. The brunette quickly browsed through her clothes and decided to wear her favorite over-sized sweater with a pair of black leggings and Uggs. She glanced at the time and realized how late it was — and the amount of studying she didn't get done. She slipped on her Uggs with a sigh. "The things I do for you, Caden." She said to herself under her breath. It was only her first year at NYU and she was already behind on her schoolwork. But she was happy that she had an excuse to put it off — even if that excuse wasn't the most reasonable. Once she put her thick brown hair up into a high ponytail, she deemed herself ready and quickly left her apartment.
The streets of New York City were teeming with life as usual, which was probably Arabella's favorite thing about living in the city. No matter what time of day it was, you could always count on NYC to keep you awake. The brunette could feel her stomach doing flips as she gripped the steering wheel on her way to Caden's loft. It was strange how this all started. Arabella definitely wasn't the type of girl to hook up with someone without some kind of commitment. And in a way, she felt guilty for what she was doing. But there was something about Caden that made her keep coming back. She knew it was wrong, but it was exciting, and she always went to him thinking that THIS was the night they would finally make things official. But of course, she was let down each time. Arabella could understand if the boy needed time, but how much time did he need? The girl shook her head as if getting rid the thoughts and focused on nothing else but the road ahead of her.
Once she arrived at his place, the brunette made her way inside and up to his floor. She shivered as she went to his loft, partly from the weather but mostly from her nerves. Even though this wasn't the first time she was doing this, the rebellious aspect of it was enough to make her feel dizzy. Once she was at his door, she softly knocked on it three times. "Caden, it's me," She whispered into the door as she wrapped her arms around herself, trying to keep warm. After a moment, the door opened and she narrowed her eyes at him. "If I get kicked out of NYU, it'll be on your conscience." She joked, giving him a small smile. She looked at him up and down before playfully pushing past him and making her way into his loft. The girl carefully scanned the room before turning back to face him with her arms crossed. "I missed a whole night of studying because of you, so you're gonna have to make it up to me somehow." She said softly with a smirk, giving the boy a knowing look and turning away to look out the windows of the loft.
