War...or something like that.
The lake and its surroundings gave Morgan plenty of privacy to deal with her parents and check on Ares. But keeping a dog on Erickson’s grounds was dangerous. The size didn’t matter. It didn’t even have to be a dog to break the rules since no pets were allowed.
If it was some scheme from her parents to get her expelled, Morgan wasn’t certain. She was so glad to have him back, but the line was so thin and even being a top student wouldn’t save her from this kind of infraction. Exactly for that reason she needed extra help.
She needed a plan for that Morgan had to buy some time to clear her mind and be able to actually think.
The first person that came to mind was Rowan based on the fact they didn’t share a room. If this was indeed another one of her mother’s petty plans, then the school would soon request to inspect the room the jock shared with Charlie. Row was a safer option. And so Morgan stood in front of her best friend’s room wondering how she would even explain the situation without breaking down.
Before she could overthink too much, she knocked on the door, silently begging Rowan was in there after class. If the girl had tutoring, a thing with Taylor or simply decided to visit the town, it wouldn’t be the end of the world. A call later on would probably be just as good.
However, if Rowan didn’t want anything to do with the dog, well...Morgan couldn’t blame her. But at this point, there was no plan B.
