Ɛnfants du monde ∞ Hakyeon & Ahri.
{ ∞ } With each step Ahri walked further away from her classroom, and felt like the tension being built up from her test was decreasing. She wondered what could do her better in that moment and after moving her gaze around the place she reached, a soft smile spread across her expression when spotting the student lounge close by. Following the path which led there, she entered and was immediately welcomed by a rather warm and familiar homey feeling.
Running her hand through her hair as the strong smell of freshly brewed coffee invaded her nostrils, she could barely wait to order one for herself as well. Enjoying the little things in life was one of the habits she used to have when she afforded some spare time away from her job and life obligations. As she spotted a nice place to sit at, her eyes roamed across the room and stopped for a moment on a particular figure. Sitting alone at the table, he writing rather randomly, in her opinion, on a notepad, his face displaying a male’s expression lost in deep and messy thoughts. When her eyes traced the graphite lines which resulted from the other’s scribbling, she almost froze on the spot, widening her eyes when recognizing the words from a another language, displaying on the sheet.
{ Jᴇ sᴜɪs ᴜɴ ᴇɴғᴀɴᴛ ᴅᴜ ᴍᴏɴᴅᴇ. }
Changing her target, she walked straight to the other’s table, but with slow and calculated steps, eyes still glued to the grey lines impregnated on the piece of paper. Pulling out a chair and sitting down, her expression was bright, displaying a subtle smile.
She asked, gently patting his hand to make him notice her presence before casually sliding his notepad away from him to quickly scribble down her own words.
― Jᴇ sᴜɪs ᴜɴ ᴇɴғᴀɴᴛ ᴅᴜ ᴍᴏɴᴅᴇ,
Cᴜʀɪᴇᴜsᴇ ᴅᴇ ᴛᴀ ʀᴇᴠᴇʀɪᴇ ᴠᴀɢᴀʙᴏɴᴅᴇ.
Pᴜɪs-ᴊᴇ ᴍᴇ ᴘᴇʀᴍᴇᴛᴛʀᴇ ᴅᴇ ᴛᴇ ᴅᴇʀᴀɴɢᴇʀ,
Pᴏᴜʀ ɴᴏᴜs ғᴏʀᴍᴇʀ ᴜɴᴇ ɴᴏᴜᴠᴇʟʟᴇ ᴀᴍɪᴛɪᴇ? ―
Putting down her pencil, Ahri playfully winked at the male student then pushed back his belonging to him while she calmly waited, wondering what kind of response he would give her back.
It had been quite a while now ever since he had sat down by the wooden table to work on a project for one of his classes whilst occasionally scribbling down some French words that kept roaming through his mind down on a piece of paper. His home seemed so far away, those friends he hadn't seen in person in over half a year - of course they skyped whenever the time difference allowed them to, however his only true friend was his boss at his job, Jihoon.
Fingers brushed over graphite lines as he seemed to be lost in thought, memories of his home, Reims, returning to his mind - the first time he could remember entering the vast cathedral and how scared he was of it all at that time, the statues seemingly demons to him; that one time his parents had visited this one particular restaurant with him in which he was allowed to enter the kitchen and watch the cook as he made Hakyeon's food - both things had happened in the year he had turned 6.
When he felt someone tapping his hand, he turned around to gaze at a female he had never seen before, confused expression on his face as she took away his notepad. However his expression soon changed into a happy one when he read her words, nodding quickly. "Oui, assieds-toi," he replied before deciding to switch to Korean, knowing that even more memories would return to him in case he were to continue speaking French.
"I've never seen you around, are you one of the new students by any chance?" he asked curiously before realizing it'd be more polite to introduce himself first. "My name is Cha Hakyeon by the way, it's a pleasure to meet you."
