it’s during his second week at the seocho facility -- his fourth day of training there -- that kibum witnesses what might just be one of the most hilarious things he’s ever seen. he’s standing at the door to a practice room that he and taemin just left, watching his best friend walk away from him down the hall. a female figure kibum immediately recognizes as jiwon appears around the corner and starts walking towards taemin and kibum, and kibum sees taemin’s shoulders immediately tense up before he forces them to relax.
kibum has to bite the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing as taemin stares resolutely straight ahead as he passes his girlfriend, and once jiwon is past taemin kibum falls into step beside her, still trying his hardest to fight a grin. “hey, stranger,” he says, adjusting his bag on his shoulder and wondering if taemin can still hear them. “long time no see.”
it’s true -- he hasn’t seen jiwon in several months, since even before she and taemin took their vacation to san francisco together. he knows that while they’re here, the two of them ( or at least taemin ) are doing their best to act like they don’t know each other, but he sees no reason to do such a thing. he and jiwon have known each other for a while, mainly through taemin, but she’s still cool, and kibum doesn’t want to treat her like a stranger when he can’t see any risk of exposing her and taemin’s relationship. as long as he isn’t a total idiot and doesn’t mention it directly where anyone can hear, everything will be fine.
