in an unsurprising turn of events, seungcheol actually really loves their debut anniversary song. it’s kind of funky, vibrant in a more boyish way than their debut and first comeback title tracks. honestly, he’s a little worried about the oldest members doing such a youthful concept ( not that they’re old! just not as young as him and ten... god, he’s always digging himself deeper holes ), but inside, he’s really excited. the choreography looks incredibly difficult to him from the few sessions they’ve had so far but at the moment, he’s focusing on the lyrics. he likes to learn every word, not just his own, to help him follow the beat and melody when he dances and later, when they perform it live. ( though he’s not sure how many opportunities they’ll get to perform this for an audience. after all, it’s not going to be a regular promoted comeback and who knows what sphere have tucked under their sleeve. )
“hey!” he greets with a bright smile, entering the practice room to find ten already here. he drops his bag at the side, abandoning his printed lyrics to approach the younger. “how are you doing? are you practising the new song?” he bites his tongue, stops himself from offering to leave if ten wants to practice alone. he needs to stop doubting himself. surely ten won’t mind him being here. right? “I’ve been trying to learn the whole song. I’ve got my bits down, I think? I keep accidentally doing yien’s in our bridge, though.” he laughs softly, running a hand through his hair.
