He checked the clock -- midnight. Not too bad for Junho, who regularly went to sleep at four or five in the morning -- except he had to work tomorrow. Simply to retain some form of normalcy, he got up from his desk and locked his doors. He turned off most of his lights, leaving one by his bed and one in the living room, by his desk. He close the window, interested to find cold, white powder on the windowsill. He loved the snow.
3:02, the clock flashed aggressively. It felt like just a few minutes had passed. He was on the couch now, in the dark. It was a Friday night, so he had to leave for work at 7-- in four hours, give or take.
Fuck. He fell over sideways on the couch and closed his eyes, but everything seemed louder, the silence of his apartment was deafening, and it left too much room in his mind for thoughts he would rather not have. He had tried music, but it made his head throb with pain. He was resigned to sit without rest tonight, maybe for a few nights. He would have to fall asleep eventually, probably.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, a distraction, and he went to answer it without hesitation.
