Jimin blinked, tearing his gaze away from the girl and dropping it back onto the hard-cover book in hand, which he hadn’t really read a word out of then for the past twenty-five (thirty?) minutes. He was a little bit used to having his friends entrusting him with secrets and life-stories, although he might have not always been the most trustworthy of people, but listening to Woori had to say left him feeling a little bit more understanding than he had been.

Being happy and being sad were two complete opposites, but he somewhat understood where she was coming from.

“You’ll figure it out.” He said, nodding once, his smile faltering the last few seconds before he brought his attention back to the book he was holding – back to where his attention should have belonged.

The fact that Jimin hadn’t been listening to whatever it was that Byungjoo had been saying proved how bad of a friend he was being right then (quote, unquote “friend”, if he could even consider him and Byungjoo to be friends). The short amount of attention he’d been paying the other male – the part where he’d stopped listening, where he’d gotten so lost in his thoughts that he’d almost forgotten that Byungjoo was sitting right in front of him – it wasn’t like him.

He’d been getting more and more like this, recently, drifting off when he knew he should’ve been paying a lot of attention, whether it was around his friends, or in class, but something about the tone Byungjoo had been using dragged him back to reality, popping the little bubble he’d unknowingly surrounded himself with.

“What’re you saying?” He asked, dark eyebrows knotting over his forehead, as he silently took a couple of seconds to assess what Byungjoo had then just said. Life didn’t stop, he knew that perfectly well. Not for him and not for anyone, really. He’d grown to accept that kind of sort of.

“If you’re going to leave, then do me a favor and don’t let me get attached first.”

A loud laugh slipped past the younger’s lips, his eyes crinkling in delight as he watched Yoongi’s eyes fall on the single photograph held between his fingertips.

It was a picture of Yoongi that Jimin had snapped without the elder’s notice; a candid of Yoongi sitting on a bench with his legs crossed and a small smile written (one that Jimin had rarely ever seen in the past).

The boystood in the middle of the supermarket, with a small candy bar in hand – onethat Sulli had been trying (and failing) to reach. He wore an irritatedexpression, the tip of his nose scrunching up at her rather unneeded comment.

“Pointless?”He scoffed, using his free hand to run a hand through his dark brown locks.“Yeah, okay.”

A shortsilence followed, and Sehun used it to his advantage, grabbing the girl by thewrist and quickly dropping the sugary confection in the center of her palm.

“I’llremember that the next time you need my help, midget.”

It was anice day out, and for the first time, Sehun felt glad Sulli had decided to draghim out to have lunch. It wasn’t something he very admittedly enjoyed doing –not when her little fans were waiting for the smallest chance to squeeze in andgrab the girl’s attention – but that day in specific, he felt at peace.

Hetwirled the plastic fork around with his slim digits, slowly chewing on a pieceof chicken in his mouth. Once swallowed, he took it upon him to nod at leastonce or twice before responding.

“Maybe.”

Sehun’seyes widened, and instantly, he felt undesired warmth spread across his palecheeks. Whilst Sulli was standing there dressed in shorts and a light cashmeresweater (something very casual), he was standing dressed in a white button-upand dress pants.

He felt overdessed. Very, very overdressed.

“Thisisn’t a date.” He mumbled, crossing his arms over his chest (quite stubbornly,might I add).

Definitely. Yeah. Sure.
