honestly, hyojung has realized that there are worse things than suddenly finding out you’re pregnant. there’s something that makes her clench her teeth so hard her gums start hurting; that subconsciously gets her to forget inhaling the very much needed air until her throat goes dry and her pupils dilate. something that makes her terrified and want to just keep it in, keep the secret, get an abortion and act like nothing has ever happened.
but she knows that she can’t keep seungri in the dark about this. he’s the father, after all; even if hyojung believes that the decision ultimately depends on her, and her only, he at least deserves to know. he should know that they’ve both made a mistake on that night when they were way too occupied and careless to think about safety and when it was practically a quick, dismissive wave of a hand that caused hyojung’s current situation. how stupid they had been, she thinks to herself with endless bitterness, but what’s past stays in the past, locked away from the desperate and regretful touches of her present self.
her courage was flushed down the toilet long ago, so she’s not even attempting at trying to reach for it and forcefully wiggle it back. she just needs to tell him; they’ve been close forever, so he wouldn’t kill her, would he? it’s not like it’s entirely her fault! no one can get pregnant without the cooperation of a male and hyojung is certainly no exception. they’re both just as much at fault as they’re in this together.
but how could she just tell him like that now that she has found out he might have had someone? someone who is in love with him, someone who deserves to have him all to himself and then hyojung thrusts herself into the picture, uninvited, and ruins everything. she knows that things are already standing on hesitant toes between the two of them (at least according to gg), so how could she make it worse?
yet; she knows she has to. and she hates herself because of it.

it’s so painfully obvious (to her) how forced the playfulness in these texts are; but she doesn’t want to let him know that something serious is about to spilled until it’s time. she knows he would come, but she’s worried that if she sounded too serious, he would immediately suspect something had gone wrong and hyojung wouldn’t want to do that to him.
he will have enough time to worry once he knows.
