Bailey hadn't expected to see Logan at all, but when the blond showed up at his door he had to admit he was a bit thankful. Being back in NYC hadn't done him any more good than it had with him being in Ohio. He was pale, had bags under his eyes and looked like he had lost a bit of weight. He stepped aside, motioning for Logan to come in.
Logan stepped in before wrapping his arms around Bailey as he muttered, "Still having a hard time with the break-up, B?" It amazed Logan to see Bailey so torn up about this considering the fact that he was the one who had broken up with Kurt. He hated how the other man simply stood there, excepting the hug without any reciprocation.
"Yeah." Bailey muttered, his throat sounded rough as he tried to move away from Logan, leading him over to the couch. "What're you doing here?" He asked, his eyes gleaming with curiosity as he looked at the older man. "Another fight with B?"
"Soon to be fight, yeah." Logan sighed, sitting with Bailey on the couch. "I fucked up again. Like.. bad. I didn't even tell him I wouldn't be home last night." He hung his head, carding a hand through his blond locks. "What the hell am I supposed to do?"
Bailey shook his head with a sigh. "Logan... first off, be honest with him. Second, stop fucking around on him." He ignored the way the older boy glared at him for such an obvious statement. "Your guilt is growing, I can see it in your eyes. And it's only hurting him - and your daughter - for you to just not show up some nights because you're too busy pounding some slut into a wall---"
"Bailey Elias!" Logan wasn't used to hearing such language from the brunet, but he wasn't wrong. Logan had thought it was a fluke with Julian that there was unimaginable guilt about sleeping with some guy. He figured it had to do with the fact that it was in their apartment, and Julian was more than just some random person... but obviously it wasn't.
"You know I'm right." Bailey gave Logan a pointed look, "Now come on. You have to make a choice. You have to choose between Boone or all those other guys. There's no 'both' option, it's one of the other. The sooner you make htis decision, the better for everyone involved."
Ignoring what Bailey had said, Logan took the topic on a slightly different path. "He thinks we should have another kid. And there's talk about a house..." He trailed off, rubbing a hand over his face while he let out a breath.
"And what did you say to him?" Bailey asked, genuinely curious. Perhaps those things were why the guilt was mounting... maybe Logan wanted those things, too."
"I'm the reason the house got brought up. I told him I'm not raising two kids in an apartment." Logan stated, as if it was obvious.
"So you want another kid then?"
"I..." Logan frowned a bit, did he? The answer was obvious: of course he did. First they needed a house though. "Yes, I do."
"Okay. And are you ready to settle down and buy a house with Boone?" Bailey tilted his head as he watched Logan's reaction, "Logan.... are you truly ready to settle down? Do you..." He bit his lip, almost amazed as he watched Logan's features soften, "Do you want to take Boone on as your husband? No more fiance business, 100% committed?"
"I... I have to go." Logan replied, standing quickly. His head was spinning, was he honestly ready for that? He didn't know if he was yet. Being with Boone and Boone alone, raising another child, buying a house... that was a lot to take on. What scared Logan most of all was that his head and his heart were in agreement of what they wanted, and it was something Logan would never have imagined when he first met Boone all those years ago.
Bailey shook his head as Logan left, calling out after him quietly. "Be safe, Logan. And tell him what you want before he decides you're no longer what he needs."
