A break from the looks | Addison & Macy
Addison stood looking in the mirror, she looked exactly how she felt which was a riot. Glancing at her watch she realized Macy would be here soon. She had no idea why the other woman wanted to speak to her let alone attempt to make her feel better. Macy had made it clear she was in no way the judgmental type and suggested her and Addison get away from the hospital for the day. Addie didnt hold out much hope that time away from the looks and whispers would help but she was grateful that Macy was trying. She needed a friend right now and the Ortho surgeon was proving to be a good one.
Changing from her work clothes into jeans and a hoodie she opened a bag throwing in a blanket, her purse and keys as instructed by Macy and slowly made her way down stairs. Confronted by another mirror she let out a sad little laugh, it seemed like Addie's reflection was haunting her. Running her hands through her hair she attempted a small smile, she didn't want Macy thinking she was pathetic. She had brought on these problems herself, she had to face the music. That said it wasn't like she couldn't cry in the comfort of her own home when nobody was looking. Hearing a car outside, she took a deep breathe and opened the door.
