Clone Dinners | Jenna&Lydia
Jenna could go back to work at any point. She was in the midst of working out a way to convince James she could handle being his partner again, but that would come later. She was still a Forensic Technician, and she could handle that much. However, it didn’t take long for her to realize that she had made one too many headlines. Her name wasn’t used at the request of her and her family, but it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out who they were writing about when they used terms like “novice agent” in their articles. Needless to say, Jenna was avoiding facing the world as much as she possibly could for the time being. But what she told her boss was that she was still on the pain killers, and she wasn’t sure she was in the right state of mind to be working. She was still taking them, but only at night. So while it was a lie, Jenna comforted herself in knowing it wasn’t a complete lie.
Jenna heard a knock at the door, and sighed. James had gone to work, and Jenna had managed to convince Sutton to at least take a nap for a few hours in her own apartment. She figured it was one of the two of them checking in on her like they seemed to do nonstop lately. “I told you, I’m fi--” She started as she swung open the door, seeing Lydia standing on the other side. “Oh, Lydia. Hi, come in.” Jenna offered, stepping out of the way of her work friend.
childish demands : mark + ren
[ magneticx ]
mark should have known that the honeymoon phase would end. it was why he didn’t do relationships. the “good” always seemed to slowly fade, and what used to be things that could be overlooked by the other person soon became the things that started the fights.
like this one.
“for the last time, ren, just come and sit here and watch the movie. we can clean the place later,” he whined. he wanted to watch tv, and she was nagging at him to clean or whatever it was that she wanted him to do. but he knew that he didn’t want to do it and it was irking him that she was bossing him around like this.
Cheesy Date || Kaden & Perrie
perriestrawberrie
Kaden had the perfect date planned out in his mind. He was sure that it would at least give Perrie some hint about how he actually felt about her, and hoped that she felt the same. There was single rose sitting neatly in his passenger seat waiting for her along with a large stuffed bear hidden in the trunk for a very last surprise at the end of the night. As he texted Perrie he noticed how nervous he actually was now that everything had been set in place. There was no doubt in his mind that she didn’t understand how he felt for her, so going all out like he was could be either a bad or a good thing. He was hoping for the latter. While he waited for Perrie to come outside he turned on the radio and drummed his hands on the steering wheel. “Dammit Paris. You’re going to give me a panic attack if you don’t get out here already.”
California Dreamin' || Shelby & Alexis || Summer 2018
It'd been eight hours since they left North Carolina. Six of which were spent on a plane, flying across the country, and another two spent trying to figure out the nonsense of hotel rooms, schedules and whatever other stupid crap the team had to know for this week-long stay at Pepperdine University. It was summer, which meant longer stays in better places than they got during the school semester, and Shelby loved it.
They checked in and then had half an hour to get ready to head over to the fields for practice. It'd be a light one, but Shelby was still dreading it a little. He stepped off the bus, sucker in his mouth and cap pulled down low. The entire team could recognize a cheer camp when they heard one, cheerleaders were in no shortage at Duke. A couple of the guys were dating girls on the squads there, anyway, and so they'd all heard about the cheer camp going on at the college they were playing at. Shelby lifted his baseball cap off his head and ran a hand through his hair, glancing around at the girls in the area. He grinned as his teammate slapped his shoulder, but it froze almost immediately as he noticed a familiar face at the top of some stunt. "Holy shit," he whispered, pushing his sunglasses up and letting his bag of gear slide off his shoulder.
Christmas Day || Emvan
Emma stared happily down at the little bundle in her arms, sleeping peacefully. She was alone for the moment, her mom and Grace having left the hospital to check on things at the house. Kelly all but had to drag Grace away, insisting that Emma needed some time to herself. Emma was grateful. She loved her sister, but she'd been hovering. Emma felt fine, if not a little sore and tired. She was elated, more than anything, to finally have her little girl in her arms. She couldn't get over how perfect she was, and how tiny she was. She brushed her fingers gingerly over her forehead, smiling as Ava shifted in the blankets. She couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present.
"How are we doing, Mommy?" Emma looked up at the nurses voice, smiling. She shifted herself in the hospital bed, careful not to disturb the sleeping baby in her arms. "Good," she whispered, looking back down to Ava, still trying to wrap her mind around the fact the she was hers. "Really good." She nodded. The nurse smiled and nodded, walking over to stand at the side of the bed, smiling down at the two. "We'll need to get you up and walking soon, but you can take some more time with her." Emma nodded, sighing softly.
She pressed her lips together, her face falling slightly. She'd been thinking about it all night, mulling it over in her sleep. She'd still been uncertain of it this morning, but after her mom and Grace had left, she'd come to a decision. "I want him to see her." She said quietly, looking up at the nurse. "I want Evan to see her. It's Christmas, and she's his daughter, he should get to see her." A small smile twitched on her lips as she looked back at Ava, a slight sadness behind her eyes. The nurse nodded, looking at Emma for a moment before replying. "Alright. We'll have someone bring him in." Emma swallowed roughly, unsure if she was making the right decision, but it was what her gut was telling her to do. "Thank you."
Cooling Down | K & T.
Running a hand self-consciously along his chest, Keegan grabbed his shirt and slid it on before anyone in the house could look at it and climbed the stairs up to Troian's room. He had always been proud of his body. Despite his jokes, he was a modest guy but he worked really hard to keep himself fit and he had never had a problem taking off his shirt. Now all he could think about was the angry pink line running down his chest, a scar from where they had cut him open to get the bullet out.
Makeup would have a field day with that on the show.
Hearing the water running as he stepped into the bedroom, he saw Troian stretched out on the bed, true to her word about saying nothing. He smiled but then stopped. "This is why we need to be roommates. What if your roommate had walked in or something?"
