Going in and out of the city for almost twelve nights now was tiring for the vampire. Seo had quickly understood that killing a human in this town wouldn't be as easily ignored as in the bigger cities where crimes were happening each night without her meddling anyway. So when an urge got over her she would run for an hour so she could find her meal and then come back. The whole thing took away from her time to search for what she needed, but it was necessary as she had never learned how to stop and let the person go. She had thought she would eventually, centuries ago, her maker helping her, but then things changed and she was alone and just went on as she knew.

"Aish!" Seo exclaimed as threw away the empty bag which she had taken from the hospital just a few minutes before, her hunger far from being sedated. She had decided not to leave tonight in hopes of maybe meeting someone who might help her in her goal, so hard to do so in the night and even harder if she came back around two or three in the morning. So it had gotten dark about an hour ago and she had lingered in the dark motel room while trying to figure out where to go to from there, stopping by the hospital first, having read they might be able to give her blood. She was angry enough currently at the lack of food that she was too distracted to not push into a body as they were walking around her on the sidewalk. Her instinct of baring her teeth won over decorum.

{ Bond Behind the Masks }; Bellatrix + Eris [mindscape]

When one shares a mind with another, the absence of that other half comes as a startling ring of silence more painful than any scream. In the moments after the dust settled after the prank spell passed from the ball, Bellatrix felt a missing pressure in her mind, familiar and comforting. Her eyes could only show her so much as her mind scrambled to regain the link that tied her to Eris. The moment it did reappear, restoring equilibrium to Bellatrix, it was only to discover that her soul was divided by miles rather than feet.

“So we trade one ball for another. One captive escapes only for the other to be taken as well.” Bellatrix, physical self tucked away inside her family manor, allows her mind to draw her to Eris’ side as a ghostly presence where her only friend sits across from that daft Auror. Moody. She leans against the arm of Eris’ chair as she stares down her nose at the man who cannot see her, entirely unaware of her otherworldly presence in Eris’ consciousness. “Salazar, he really should do something about the state of his attire. And his face. Really his entire person. Maybe if you knock that glass of water over, he’ll be forced to change.”

She looks down at her nails as her thoughts pass to the one forced to suffer the Head Auror’s choked accent. “I think I preferred McKinnon’s crassness to this false hospitality Moody is showing you, Eris. Snap his neck, already. We don’t need our hands or our wands for that.”

{ The Masks That They Wear }; Eris + Alastor

The element of surprise always becomes necessary when faced with a sly one such as Eris Rowle. Alastor may not have appreciated the interruption of the Halloween Ball, forced to gallivant around as some talking dog with a penchant for sniffing the wrong people. But it had afforded him an opportunity as the spell bled away and he spotted Rowle slip out of the ballroom in obvious disorientation. Stunned from behind, the Head Auror considers it his prerogative to  investigate anyone who may have knowledge of where the spell came from. As acting leader of the Order, it’s his call to draw out suspected Death Eaters, as well.

Alastor stares at the unconscious girl tied to the chair across from the expanse of a rough-carved oak table. Secluded in a cottage in the highlands of Scotland, cloaked and far from civilisation, Alastor’s confident there will be little to interrupt them. Sebastian seated just outside the door will assist when he’s needed but from what the man has gathered, Eris Rowle has a personality less volatile and unreasonable than her closest companion, Ms Black.

With fingers laced together in his lap, Alastor watches as the telling signs of encroaching wakefulness shift over the girl’s frame. “Did y’ ‘ave a good rest, lassie? Been out fer quite a bit, I must sae. If yer feelin’ a bit parched, I ‘ave a drink o’ water ‘ere fer ye.”

Addicted |Eris + Emma

Emma does her best to keep herself preoccupied. Taking a few shots and taking to dancing all on her own, she attempts to ignore the craving for a pill or potion, to not scratch herself; a tick she’s developed thanks to withdrawal. The owl she’d sent to Eris dances in the back of her mind even as the Slytherin moves her hips and closes her eyes. And when she opens them again, she spots her Slytherin healer trainee across the room.

Emma takes no time at all to make her way to Eris and gives her a grin. “Fancy seeing you at a party like this.”

Crash || Eris + Bella + Partygoers

Bellatrix picks little blue pixie hairs out of her own hair. Glaring, the girl turns to her friend. “There’s no way those two will get away with this. Even if I blow up this castle if I have to. What they did was neither entertaining or proper.” She holds a little squirming invitation she had Eris con out of a fifth year Hufflepuff, telling the location of the supposed party. Her feet strike the stone floor as she aims herself for the location of the culprits responsible for ruining her last Great Hall dinner.

Glad You Came [Eris&Keiran&Theo]

Theo quickly sent off an owl to Keiran, letting him know that he and Eris would be leaving shortly to her old home. He looked in the mirror and quickly changed into Keiran, he didn’t wnat to scare Eris...now. Honestly, Theo had no idea why or how Keiran was in love with Eris, sure he thought Eris was beautiful but even a blind mind can see that, but... He shook his head, now was not the time. He walked out of his room and to the room he has given Eris which was down the hall. Knocking on the door he stood there waiting.

“Eris... we should be going, if you’re ready.” He called out to her. “I mean, if you still want to go that is... if you don’t I completely understand, or even if you wanted to wait a little while...” He told her softly, though he really hoped she would stick to day, but from what he learned of her, she’s stubborn and if she has her head set to something she wasn’t going to back out - she was too prideful for that. Both a strength and a flaw he’s noticed.

Blind Darkness; Eris + Bellatrix

A storm was brewing as soon as Bellatrix and Eris were sent home for a week’s suspension. There’s no avoiding what will happen as soon as the two of them have to split and face their respective parents; to face the fury that will rain down on them. Bellatrix knows that Eris will take what comes her way but as she steps into her own manor, she already knows that she won’t let this be a one-sided disaster.

Hexes are thrown. Screaming chases the house elves into hiding. Threats are made. Bellatrix stands against her parents as they both berate and abuse her; she’s careless, reckless, a disappointment. She hears it, she feels it, and she fights back, letting her rage and resentment fuel her to make is clear to her parents that she’s a witch of age and she no longer has to take their bullshit without dishing it back.

I’ll kill them one day, I swear it. Bellatrix lets the thought pass through her mind, knowing that Eris will hear it in her own time. Seated on her four-poster bed and trying to clear her face of the splotchy redness that comes only when she’s well and truly furious, the daughter of Cygnus and Druella Black thinks nothing beyond the thoughts of how she might kill her parents one day in the future. She knows that the bloodline isn’t secure until Regulus bears an heir of the Black name so to murder her parents now would be premature. But it will simmer in her mind for the time being.

That’s when the owl swoops in through her window, dropping its letter and flying away without waiting for a reply. An ashen grey envelope with a skull and snake entwined on the blood red seal. There’s only one person this could have come from.

She’s finally been invited.

The girl climbs out of her bed with the envelope in hand. Snatching up her letter opener from the vanity, she slices into it and reveals parchment that details the location and the hour of her initiation. She will take the Mark. She will join the ranks. And she will finally have access to the power she so desperately seeks.

But--Eris, have you received the Dark Lord’s invitation? If there’s one thing that drives a wedge of fear and uncertainty into Bellatrix, it’s the thought of Eris and the inherent danger facing them if she appears before the Dark Lord and their diligently practiced Occlumency fails them.

Bonded ; Eris + Bellatrix [Flashback]

The manor shakes and the windows rattle. If Cygnus and Druella hadn’t already reinforced the strength of their furniture and glass objects, everything would be in shattered pieces by now. Even still, a few unsecured items fall from shelves and crash to the ground, spraying the room with porcelain shards.

Bellatrix continues to scream.

“I’m so done with this disgusting brat!” Druella shouts over her oldest daughter’s cacophony. With a glare at the dark-haired child throwing a tantrum during her youngest sister’s private birthday celebration, Druella lifts her wand and casts an body-binding spell on her.

Her father snaps his fingers to call the elves to the room as Bellatrix’ scream falls sharply silent. Even still the room does not stop shaking as the eight year old glares at her mother and father. The elves appear, all cowering as they slink forward to do their master’s bidding. “Take Bellatrix back to her room. She’s no longer welcome at this family gathering until she learns obedience,” Cygnus intones. “Quintie! Send for the Rowle’s girl. If she can’t shut this child up then we will find other ways to teach our daughter proper etiquette.” The third elf that appears nods low before popping away.

The two elves don’t dare to touch the girl. Instead they both work together to magically levitate and move the magically volatile child away from the family den up to her bedroom suite. Bellatrix glares holes into the ceilling as she’s moved, furious and resentful that Narcissa would get better toys than she did for her birthday last year. Let Eris come. It’s not like anyone cares what she does once she’s bound to her room. No one can control her. No one’s allowed to. Not Eris, not her mother or her father. She hates them all. The elves are quick to deposit her in her room and they regrettably lift the body-bind before leaving and charming the double-doors to prevent her exit.

So Bellatrix begins to scream again.
