Happy, Sad, Confused (W/ Josh Horowitz)
Perfect Storm || Devyn & Josh
[ oconnorjosh ]
“Idiot,” Devyn spat when she walked away from the machine that had been deposited by the wall, the one that belonged to the male who had, for all intents and purposes, been avoiding her for the last week or so. Finding the motorcycle had been her first clue, and a few questions later, Devyn had been made aware that he had departed on a run. There was something incomprehensible in the way her stomach dropped upon hearing the news. Though, when anger erupted within, that, on the other hand, was quite comprehensible, as she knew it was due to all the pushed aside emotions resurfacing. She was pissed, and the damage left on his bike was evidence of such. She was done with pretending everything was OK. Now she wanted answers as to why he had begun avoiding her without any sort of explanation.They had told each other certain things, perhaps information that should have never been divulged -- yet, she was angrier at the fact that he had left without any word. In her head, as crazy as it may be, she couldn’t help but imagine the worst case scenario -- and how she would have been faced with the guilt of allowing him to ignore her until it was too late. Until there was no chance of making up for lost time.
Making her way towards the training centre, Devyn waited patiently for everyone to leave before taking all, or as much of her anger as she could, out on the punching bag. The creek of the door echoed throughout the room, mixed with the sound of her hits, and Devyn let out an annoyed sight before turning around to offer the same retort she had to everyone who had previously attempted entering. One that sounded vaguely familiar to ‘get the fuck out’. Her eyes landed on Josh, and everything was suddenly forgotten. He was in one piece. For now. “Oh, look what the cat dragged in. And to what do I owe this fucking honor?” She spoke sarcastically without giving him any chance to get a word out. Walking away from the punching bag, she headed towards the bench to pick up her bottle of water. Luckily for her, and unfortunately for him, she’d only gotten here a few moments prior, thus not providing her with enough time to release the entirety of her anger. Her eyes never left his, unable to hide the relief on her expression when her gaze travelled over his person. “I’m guessing you weren’t planning on telling me -- Or what, ever talking to me again?” Her tone turned accusatory as she ventured towards him, rage evidently etched in her expression.
Clumsy never stops || Joshifer.
Spending time with Josh made Jennifer happy -- especially since she realized how much she actually missed him. He was one of her best friends, and knew that no matter what -- that would never change between the pair of them. Josh was her rock, he calmed her down when things were going crazy and made her laugh. Part of the blonde didn't want to leave him, again -- but knew she had to. That was something she wasn't going to worry about, for now. She was going to enjoy the time they had together. Getting ready for the day at her house, Jennifer was glad that L.A was much warmer than Boston, and she was happy to wear shorts. The actress was thankful Josh insisted on her coming to him, and not the other way around -- she was getting sick of snow. Making sure that she had everything, the blonde picked up Pippi, deciding to bring him since she didn't really go anywhere without her dog. Making her way down the street towards her friends house, she was glad that there weren't really many paps around -- since they annoyed her.
Arriving at Joshs' house, Jennifer didn't bother knocking or announcing that she was there -- they were close enough that she could just walk in. Going to the kitchen, Jennifer watched Pippi run off, probably to find her friend. Pouring herself a juice, the actress took a sip and started walking towards the living room. Not seeing the carpet, Jennifer tripped, causing the juice to spill all down her front "Fucking hell" She mumbled, crinkling her nose. She thought that she had the clumsiness under control, finally. Looking up as she heard some small barking, Jennifer tilted her head to the side as she saw Josh. Feeling her cheeks heat up, she shifted on her feet "Hi, bae" The Kentuckian laughed a little, using Joshs' new 'title.' "Do you have a shirt I can use? My house is too far awaaaay" She whined slightly, putting her glass on the table close by before pulling off her shirt. Josh had seen her in this, and a bikini -- which was essentially the same thing as now. "Get me a top" The older woman instructed, trying to give her best stern look before bursting out laughing.
Catch ups || josh + jennifer
Getting together her phone and wallet, Jennifer quickly said good bye to her dog and cat, knowing that they would be fine alone for a couple of hours. She trusted them enough not to kill each other. Quickly locking up her house, Jennifer tan a hand through her hair, hoping that there was no paparazzi around. That was something that she didn't want to deal with tonight, since everything was just winding down from the promo tour she had just been through. Spotting one, she gave them a quick finger as she walked down the street towards Joshs house. She had spent so many months living right next door to him in a hotel, it felt weird walking more than a couple of paces to see him.
Arriving at his house, Jennifer rang the door bell before walking in. "JOSHUA RYAN HUTCHERSON" She yelled out, looking around the place. She always loved coming to visit him, since he was one of her best friends and had a good time with him. Walking towards the kitchen, the actress helped herself to a packet of doritos, before making her way to the living room. Sitting on the sofa, she turned on the TV and waited for him to join her. The blonde didn't care if he would get slightly mad about her just welcoming herself in -- it was something that was going to happen more often, now.

Jennifer walked into the kitchen, grinning as she saw her boyfriend. Wrapping his arms around his waist, the blonde kissed the curve of his neck before burying her head into his neck. "Hi" She mumbled, feeling a little more cuddly than she usually did. "Hope I wasn't interrupting anything" She whispered, her thumbs moving along the small of his back slowly.
Truth is || Joshifer (plus their parents)
Sitting in the cat with both Josh and her parents, felt odd to Jennifer, they had never been this close to one another since they had started dating -- but it also made her happy, it took her mind off things for a while. She knew that their brothers (and her sister in laws, plus nephews) would be there later that day, but she was glad to make two trips to the airport, it meant that it'd be easier to act like things were okay wit her, rather than having a massive amount of people stay at their house all at once. Pulling into the garage, Jennifer let out a small breath and switched off the car. Getting out, she grabbed her moms and Joshs' moms luggage -- knowing that the two dads could take care of their own. Walking into the house, a small smile played on her lips. "Ba - " She stopped herself from calling Josh her usual pet name for him, baby. "Josh! I'm home!" She called out. Jennifer of course hadn't told her she planned for the parents to arrive so early, so had lied about where she had gone, hoping he wouldn't mind too much.

Stars and Moon || Josh/Shay
Her loud, husky laughter howled through the docks, a sound she hadn’t heard in years and hadn’t realized she missed so much. It was well past midnight, and the town was fast asleep. The only live part was her own house where her mother was walking around in a drunken stupor, and they had ditched the place a solid thirty minutes ago after Shrader had smuggled a bottle of liquor out of the back room, and Josh had picked her up. She was looking forward to the evening out with him, and whoever else showed up at the beach that night. Being assertive was getting her places--she could ignore the loneliness and focus on having fun, on smiling--and, now, on getting drunk.
Now they were nearing the water, Shrader kicking the lapping waves as they nipped at her toes, the neck of a bottle of Jack Daniels in her hand. It was nice having just a…friend. A good, fun-loving friend. No pressure to say or do anything specific. She fell comfortably back into her facade of stupid jokes and happy-go-lucky persona, once again Shrader Gallagher, Bayside high school newbie and town weirdo and damn good photographer. It was more normal than she had anticipated, more appealing. She wanted to just have a friend who wasn’t involved in her complicated, distressed life.
Knocking back another swallow of the drink, she looked over to Josh to pass him the bottle, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. “It is hot out here,” she sighed, reaching her hands above her head and moving into a long stretch. The wind tossed the hem of her shirt, her hair, and she spun around to play in the waves, the water up to her ankles. Above the town, the stars littered the sky, and she glanced up, staring.
"Look! It’s almost a new moon!"
