Somewhere in the shadows || Parksie
Parker wasn't sure where he was heading, he just needed to get her out. His legs were running with no destination. Nothing Parker did could erase the images, Cassandra had seen. For once in a very long time he wasn't thinking about himself. His only thought was to help her, take away her pain and he knew he couldn't. Parker kept running for at least two miles until he stopped, letting go of Cassandra's hand he paced. His hands over his head, tries streaming down his face. "I don't- I can't.- Why- what- You don't- this." The young man muttered nonsense. Reaching into his pocket, Parker pulled out two pills without thought he tossed him into his mouth. "My medicine just needs to work, we just have to take a second." He turned to look at Cassandra. He had never seen the women like this before. Her face so emotionless, skin pale as the white sand, hands uncontrollably trembling. Running over to her, Parker grabbed her hands. "You know that wasn't him, with everything in you. Believe in that, you have to believe in that." He insisted.
