Setting her bag down next to a large moss covered rock Krystal bent down digging in her bag for her arrows .It had been awhile since she had found time to relax by herself without worrying about what unseen creature was lurking around the next corner. The weather was especially something that was to be celebrated as for once it wasn't pouring with rain so Krystal no longer looked like a small drowned rat. That was a positive thing right? The absolute best thing about the change in weather was that it meant she could finally get some free time to play around with her bow.
Picking up the bow the familiar weight in her hand relaxed her immensely. It was nice to have time to experiment a bit without worrying whether a small mistake would ultimately amount to her untimely demise.” What a pleasant thought” She mused aiming her arrow at the large oak tree north of her. There was something in the beauty of the craft that led Krystal to love archery.” As the arrow hit its target a strangers voice rung through the air.
Shocked by the sudden appearance of a second person Krystal dropped her weapon spinning around to face the direction the voice came from. “ Hello , who’s there?” She called out to the shadowy figure camouflaged in the thick foliage of the forest .Moving towards it cautiously she realized the person seemed to be a tall boy.. A sudden realization hit Krystal , how stupid had she been ! She had dropped her weapon and it now lay abandoned on the ground a few meters away from her. I’d last long in a horror movie she thought to herself sarcastically. Hear a strange voice in the woods and drop my only weapon to walk towards it ,pure genius. She chided herself , clenching her small hands into fists.
