You know what fuck modern writing because every protagonist is an attractive capable 20 year old and it's the most boring thing ever.

One of the most compelling movies ever is the stupid Veggietales pirate movie and that's because the main protagonists are a mid 20's year old stupid coward loser, a 30-ish year old lazy useless loser who just complains, and an old man loser who's gets bullied by his own kids. They get isekaid into the past but they're not special at all so half of the movie is them being absolute dogshit and lying to everyone around them. They actually have to recognize what's wrong with themselves and try to help even though they all think they're going to die. Despite seeing many a movie in my day it's still one of the most compelling dynamics ever and I'm tired of pretending it's not Peak Cinema.
