Full Name: Paavali ‘Paavo’ Ranta Gender and Sexuality: Male, heterosexual Pronouns: he/him Ethnicity/Species: Finnish (or the equivalent) Birthplace and Birthdate: his house?? (I never know how to properly answer these), Pisces baby Guilty Pleasures: You’d think it would be his cooking, but he finds nothing embarrassing about that. Instead his guilty pleasure might be boxing. (also when he was a kid he played with a baby doll and in retrospect he finds that embarrassing) Phobias: Failure, disappointing his family (mainly his father), and also inheriting his dad’s bad traits (mostly the alcoholism) What They Would Be Famous For: World-class chef and champion heavyweight boxer! What They Would Get Arrested For: Drunk and disorderly conduct, assault (if he finds out about you harassing a friend of being a bully in general!) OC You Ship Them With: TALITHA always and forever his best friend and lover. But also my RP partners OC, Sam, the diminutive mage who’s sensitive about her perceived unfemininity OC Most Likely To Murder Them: Sam’s parents, Kat and Eddard, if they ever -think- he’s so much as made Sam cry Favorite Movie/Book Genre: Romances, but only the really good, serious (and heart-breaking) ones. He’s not all that into movies or books though, he prefers time with friends or working in the kitchen. Least Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: The big ugly brute character (he would probably have liked Ore Monogatari!! as a teen, but he’s not likely to give a cartoon much chance as an adult) Talents and/or Powers: Probably the strongest OC when it comes to pure muscle and lifting power. Others could outfight him, and maybe beat him in endurance, but he would be able to beat anyone in a straight fistfight. Also by far the best cook, and the best cuddler. Why Someone Might Love Them: I won’t say barring looks this time because he’s not at all conventionally attractive unless you’re into bara looking guys. But he’s the quintessential big lug- he probably weighs more than anyone else, and looks it and doesn’t have the nicest face, but he’s a big sweetheart and very huggable. Soft-hearted and protective almost to a fault (he doesn’t think girls can’t be strong, but he’s fairly big on chivalry), and free with his emotions (you’re gonna see him cry a lot). A big mama’s boy. And he’s also willing to change- if he says or does something hurtful, he’ll quickly learn from his mistake, apologize, and never do it again and make sure other people know as well. Why Someone Might Hate Them: He carries baggage in the form of his dad, Sisu, which can be a source of drama and heartache. He does have a bit of a problem with alcohol- it can make him more prone to anger, which has led him to lash out with people before. His protective nature can be an annoyance at times, and a big problem at other times, getting him into unnecessary fights. He also really really wants to start a family- he can set that aside for someone if he loves them enough, but that can be a big sticking point in a relationship. How They Change: He actively fights to control his alcoholism, eventually makes amends with his father (after his father seeks forgiveness from him first), and generally takes control of his life. He doesn’t need to change as much as Emil or especially Niklaus, he’s much more well-adjusted than either of them. Why You Love Them: He’s another one of my characters that changed a lot, ridiculously so- He was a big coward and a sourpuss and generally an unpleasant guy whose main redeeming feature was his genuine love and admiration for Talitha that made him want to do better. There’s still some of those qualities in him, but he’s become much more of the straight man of my OCs; a strong back that others can rely on when things get tough. Just a nice pleasant guy all around :3

I was thinking about what genres would best fit my OCs

Emil would be a perfect fit for those somber westerns- like the adrift loner that's seen too much already but cannot be faced with injustice without being compelled to take action, even at the cost of his life or reputation.

Paavali would be something like a sweet romance with slight twinges of comedy (not a romantic comedy because that's a little different) or something like a Nicholas Sparks novels. Really cheesy crap about true love and its trials

Niklaus would 10000% be a crime drama, one of the kind where the protagonist is extremely morally ambiguous and violent but he ~has a heart of gold~ and probably ends up killing the head of the mob or something.

Adele would belong in a fairy tale, as the Evil Queen or monstrous Beast hated by the world and hating the world in kind. But some pure-hearted young man comes along and breaks the spell with his kindness and they live happily ever after

Talitha'd be in something like a biopic or drama about her climbing her way up the corporate ladder and juggling her career and love/family life while she has lots of dramatic angry yelling scenes in board rooms filled with HARRUMPHing old farts
