top 5 books you read this year
DON'T DON'T DOOOOOOOOOON'T WHY ARE YOU CHOOSING VIOLENCE. WHYYYYYYYYYY
ugh fine... but you know how it works with me... I will count series as one and probably have like three bonuses.
Top 5 books I've read this year:
ACOSF. Sometimes it be you and the other five little hoes who actually really loved the book.
Pachinko. This book encompasses what literature should do today. A story about migration, family and the spectrum of humanity's will to prevail, not merely endure. I have not been able to stop thinking about this book
The Invisible Life of Addie Larue. What an aesthetic and raw/honest story about what love means, about the power of memory and the simple needs that permeate our human experience as social beings. Amazing story telling, moving ideas and ephemeral characters.
The Greenbone Saga. Minimalist fantasy, mafia vibes, family ties, power seeking characters, revenge, growth, different world, Chinese inspired. HOLY FUCK I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU GUYS HAVE NOT READ THESE BOOKS.
The Secret History and The Atlas Six. I just vibe with dark academia. Love me a good classic of the genre that makes allows me to enjoy the snobbish academic part of my personality; and a new entry into the genre that mixes the staples with a nice touch of fantasy.
Boooooooonuuuuuusssssssssssss
These violent delights. Roma montagov is mine and I will fight each and everyone of you for his hand.
Kingdom of the Wicked & Kingdom of the Cursed. Still very bitter about that lazy cliffhanger but good solid books.
On Earth We Are Briefly Gorgeous. Fuck Ocean Voung has a way with words that makes me believe that Apollo himself created such artists.
Red White and Royal Blue & One Last Stop. I found my chaotic soulmate in Alex Claremont-Díaz, whatever souls are made of his and I are the same. I love my latino, bi and chaotic characters. Biyu Su, will you marry me? I haven't wanted anyone as I want you, I haven't loved anyone as I love you.
