Both. It’s a partnership! Mabel might need some guiding since she’d buy tons of sweets for herself (no sharing with the kids), but other than that, teamwork works for them. Mabel’s the team’s driving mom; always picking up kids on the pool and dropping them off.

What they would be like as parents
Mabel: Overtly doting mother, pretty lenient and chill most of the time, but she can be coddling and a little bit overprotective when she senses her kids are growing up. She isn’t strict, but will be firm when she has to be. She’s the driving pool mom, and everyone knows her as the mom who goes to the baking sales, along with her famous rice krispie treats (or whatever). Very involved.
Pacifica: Terrified parent (at first); with her upbringing, she was terrified she wouldn’t be a good mother. Mabel reassures her, “You’re so worried about them before they’re even here; you will be.” As a parent, she makes sure her kids know they’re loved, and she’s the snarky, semi-strict mom. But she’s also the one they’ll go to if they’ve got something serious they need to talk about since they worry Mabel will take it too close to heart. She’ll also take them on surprise shopping runs for seven hours.
