A Resolution to make a Difference on National Freedom Day by Pacific High School

Freedom is the most essential of all human rights, and yet throughout history numerous individuals and nations have had to fight to be free. For this reason, the first ten Amendments, known as the Bill of Rights, were added to the American Constitution to assurance basic freedoms for the citizens. Pacific High School celebrates National Freedom Day commemorates this momentous occasion on February 1, 1865.

On this day, Pacific High School plans on making a difference which would show what an independent individual is capable of.

Make friends at the shelter

If you love animals, animal shelters are always in need f volunteers. And it’s the best job. You’ll get to pet kittens and puppies all the time. You’ll also get to meet people who love animals and the satisfaction by doing so would be unmatchable.

Go painting

If you have an eye for color and design, organize a mural. Collect a couple of friends and find walls around which can be painted. Approach the owner of the area for the idea. And begin coloring up the city with beautiful masterpieces. This activity will defiantly be a lot of fun and it will please to the eye of whoever crosses the streets.

Go Green

There are many unclaimed common areas that are not been taking care of, consider taking up one and create a community garden out of it. Ask your fellows to help you get started with and you will be the next neighborhood favorite.

Contribute with your skills

There are a lot of places who are looking for helpers and volunteers. Schools, day cares, churches, groups and mentorship programs are always looking for people to help. Join day care centre and play with kids all day.

Visit Senior Citizens

These people are fun to spend time with and they love spending time with you. Visit them and do a couple of activities with them. They’ll love it. Play cards, make paintings, give manicures and the list goes on and on.
