The micro-expressions happening during Simon's lashout where he flashbangs the crew with the camera say a lot. Listen, I know I'm fine-tooth-combing this, but look at the anger curling up and dying the moment he's done it!
This is why I wrote Simon to be a prick on Eden. Not everyone agrees with me because they only see this man being softspoken and fawning at the C.O.I. to live, but I saw that malice.
He chooses to hurt people because it feels satisfying and justified in the moment.
But it never lasts, and then he's left with the consequences of his actions.
He claims this to be an accident and yet look at his face.
