The Good News
Storm has finished his lyme disease treatments! Throughout, he has shown no symptoms. In fact, he has seemed even more active than usual. Probably because he is now 22 pounds, his ideal weight. Isis is 11 pounds, her ideal weight. And when we weighed Apollo yesterday, he was almost 21 pounds. He’s probably at least that today. Seriously, he’s growing everyday.
The Bad News
Soon after Storm finished his lyme disease treatments, we got fleas. Yaaaaay. We fought them for a while but they didn’t seem to falter so we went to get Seresto collars yesterday. And holy shit are they working. Dead or dying ones are falling off the dogs all the time and when I find live ones on the dogs, they aren’t freaking out and running and jumping everywhere and biting everything. Now, they’re pretty much just wiggling around weakly when I pull or comb them off. Storm and Isis have had almost their entire bellies and chests shaved, just so you know if you see that in pictures. If you have dogs you can do that to that get fleas, I highly recommend it. I’ve had so much more luck getting live fleas off them since I shaved their stomachs.
