I assume Hanna-Barbera must've subscribed to this formula when it had a number of package shows featuring several characters in their own segments (witness Huckleberry Hound, Quick Draw McGraw, Yogi Bear, Magilla Gorilla, Peter Potamus, The Banana Splits, Cattanooga Cats and Skatebirds), with an eye to enhancing audience attention (especially among children).
